I rent cars weekly, and I'm quite surprised at how bad most cars are. I figure a car should be a blast to drive, or economical, or practical. And should represent good value. The cars that come to mind that are a complete failure:

My daily driver is a Porsche Cayman, it tops out at 160mph. Clearly there's a lot of faster cars, however very few that handle like a Cayman. And it's paid for.
