Nobody thinks they’re a bad person. Especially bad people.

Yea my bad. Replace the word “pardon” with “commutation”...I stand by what I said.
Good lord, she just gets more beautiful.
I really, really tried to be vegan for a year but truthfully, and this is the first time I’m admitting this, I would secretly eat the fuck out of real cheese pizza at least once a month. I don’t know how these people live.
I am referring to those issues she herself references—severe depression and anxiety. Obviously I don’t know her or treat her, but I would question if her depression is a result of her incarceration. Her behavior before her arrest was problematic and symptomatic of severe depression.
I am hard pressed to think of any mental health issue (especially those referenced here by Manning herself—depression, anxiety) that would not be made worse by incarceration. That is a problem much bigger than Manning; it’s much more complicated than pardoning one prisoner. I agree with you, in many ways. However,…
I have worked in and frequently visit mental health facilities (as a counselor) and can attest to the fact that the way we as a country treat NON-CRIMINAL persons with mental health issues is inhuman and cruel. While I support her cause of receiving proper healthcare, I think it’s absurd to claim she should be…
“Someone with high self-esteem would at least consider how their relationship is filtered through those that love them the most”... Dude. Her mom and sister were emotionally abusive and manipulative in ways Peter could never dream of being. And he was good to her child, he had a positive relationship with her kid.…
Let’s discuss better treatment for prisoners, better mental health support...but this is framed as though having a mental health issue in and of itself should qualify someone for release.
Man, this tore me up! You can really understand both sides: the youthful, idealistic side that thinks marriages should be super chill, and the grown side that knows better. I don’t think Cynthia has low self esteem, but when you filter it through her child, it looks so different.
Her conversation in the kitchen with her daughter was beautiful and awful. I hope my relationship with my daughter is this open and good, but there is just something so jarring about a little whipper-snapper putting you in check “do you have a low self esteem?” She raised a good kid and she’s a solid person, I…
Good for you for being careful with your mental health.
You’re a good cousin!!
“Don’t tell your sisters until your mother is dead” has me fucking dying laughing and my coworker is actively ignoring me because it is too early to be laughing this hard
Reince Priebus? JK Rowling wouldn’t have been able to come up with a better evil character name.
Against my better judgement, I asked the same question. “Awareness of intolerance” 🙄
I follow you! But your check mark is gone now. So I guess I have to hate you
is it something to do with facebook? I log on here through my FB account. Or it’s a fucked up mind game, and we are hugging the wire monkey.
Oh shit! I guess the first rule of check marks is not talking about check marks.
