Finally! Some Supernatural scoop. I only allow spoilers for SPN until the end of the comiccon so I've been itching for em.

I agree totally. The water plant here is run on mostly hydroelectric if I'm remembering correctly. I'm 4 blocks from the mighty Mississippi. I've lived through 3 or 4 summers in Louisiana with no working air conditioning. I'm fairly used to dealing with lack of luxury. (not that I don't enjoy some luxury but you…
I agree. Gangs of roving madmen would kill each other off pretty quickly. You'll have to be on your guard for a while, but most likely, I think we'll be living in small pocket communities sharing resources. It is really the only way we'll get through it.
Last time we had a big shut down here (Hurricane Gustav) power was out for a week because of damage to the lines from Baton Rouge. We cooked out on the grill every night. Played board games. Met up with people for drinks at the bars with power. It was pretty nice. Hot, but nice.
"Your new world lacks the creature comforts of today - no electricity, no communication, no instant access to a plethora of information."
We've all seen it, but it has to be posted again.
awww! I love it when my kitties growl. It's adorable.
Starting later means less of a winter break. So they will have more new episodes through December/January while other networks are showing reruns.
Sort of related, but I'm fairly certain that a passenger died on a flight I took a few weeks ago. We actually got the "Is there a doctor or nurse?" on board announcement and then some passengers were quietly moved to new seats. When we landed we were told to stay in our seats so that emergency medical personnel could…
I've really been looking forward to Beasts of the Southern Wild. I know we had a big red carpet premiere here just in the past few weeks but it doesn't open until the 4th.
Oh yeah...my current house cats won't do it because, well one of them finds playing to be beneath him. He visibly rolls his eyes when I dangle toys in front of him. (He'll play with his toys by himself though. He's so odd.) The other will tug a bit but will give up pretty quickly. But I've had cats seriously go for…
A resounding YES. This is probably great stimulation for the tiger. Much better than just lazing about doing nothing. I love when cats play tug of war. My boys don't like to so much, but I've had other house cats that would. They all get the same crinkle grrr face as the big cats.
No, not me.
Where was I going?
I made it happen last summer but this year I just could not work in a big vaca. I am hoping to make it happen almost every summer starting next year!
DAMNIT. Yet another reason I should be there this summer instead of next.
It's communism I say! I earned my star and those liberal elitists took it away! Probably gave it to someone in the welfare system!
They were still doing work when I was there last spring. I kinda assume that's just a constant "still working on it" building. But yeah, they had the floor up, it only covers maybe a 1/4 of the area so you can see under, but they also seemed to be jackhammering some of it up and re-working it.
The book was not funny nor tongue in cheek. It was a straight forward account of Lincoln killing vampires.
Rabbits are jerks. Root for the cheetah!
