Not if they are any different from the ‘one for the thumb in ‘81; crew of the early 1980s Steeler fans.

Water bottles no, but several pairs of sunglasses, yes. And a book or two
This is the slaw I grew up with. And mayo doesn’t belong in potato salad either. I’m solidly German potato salad all the way. (The elder stateswomen of my family besides being German also had this concern about mayo on hot days in the summer going sideways and causing food poisoning.)
One of the skills I have passed on to my offspring is the proper way to pour a beer. My daughter did impress her college boyfriend with the ability to do this, so I guess I score one in the parental passing of vital knowledge?
With the arrival of Ike’s (http://www.loveandsandwiches.com/) in town, I doubt I’d go Subway or Togos again. While its pricer, the sandwiches are bigger and the selection if your vegan, vegetarian or celiac is much, much better. And probably healthier.
GOZDILLAS FOR THE FTW *high fives*
Along with a bunch of Funko figures, I have several Godzillas from the various movies throughout the series. But my favorite as of late is a Gamera figurine which my son insisted on buying me for my birthday after I balked at the price in the retro toy shop. I have this undying love for cheesy early Tokusatsu monster…
I worked for a company that was bought out by Sumitomo Corp, and I knew about the business cards and the bowing. And if you met someone of higher rank, you always bowed lower than that person.
Working as a dishwasher was my first kitchen job. Like others have said, its hot, grueling and physical as it gets. I worked that section until one of the prep cooks found out I could work a meat slicer without taking off my hand (thank you, mom for that bit of training!) and I graduated to the line prep area.
Yes. You can also get them at the Oakland A’s stadium as well.
Any place else yes. San Francisco, probably not.
If your vegan/vegetarian and a Giants fan, you can actually get Field Roast Veggie dogs at the Derby Grill at the stadium. It makes those Mets (yes, I’m a Mets fan..) vs Giants games a bit more fun for me. And unlike most veggie dogs, they do taste great!
Bergen County born and raised here. North Bergen has never been a well healed area of the state. Did you not read that they made all of the costumes out of recycled materials? And unless things have changed drastically in high schools since I was a youth, theater and arts are notoriously underfunded in even the best…
Morningstar are a godsend on those nights when the thought of making something out of Laurel’s Kitchen that takes over an hour makes me want to crawl straight into bed hungry.
I doubt the even the vampires could afford the rents at this point :(
I moved away from NJ over 30 years ago and yes, this doesn’t surprise me in the least. And makes me ever so slightly nostalgic for the State of my birth.
Old Gen Xer here. Questions like this one make me forever glad I don’t have to deal with today’s dating scene.
I love watching Sudden Impact since the Courthouse and PD scenes were filmed where I work at the Government Center. In fact the elevator scenes were filmed there: unfortunately they changed them during a upgrade a decade ago:
I work blocks from the Santa Cruz beach and Boardwalk. Its weird to see it in the promos; at least they didn’t rename it to “Santa Clarita”. But then again when Lost Boys was filmed here, we were known as the “Murder Capital of the World”.
German waiters are notoriously aloof. While I’ve had several mistake me for German off the bat—I found that if I tried to haul out my rusty University HochDeutsch, that they warmed up a bit when they realized I wasn’t an ugly American and I was trying my best to bridge the language gap.
