Private words going public is the entire HISTORY of accountability. Watergate, Robert Durst, the douchebags who lied about Planned Parenthood selling baby parts, secretly recording John Edwards and other Cold Reading Con Artists...

Jeopardy is not over and that’s possibly the worst take I’ve seen yet on this entire fiasco. Its not over primarily because Jeopardy has never been about the host.

When you think about it, if he had just chosen literally anybody else, he still would have his EP role. The only reason we even know he’s a piece of shit is because he decided to unilaterally make himself the host of Jeopardy and go against the wishes of Trebek himself, which drew attention to him.

Not just him, but all his superiors too. But NBC hired Megyn Kelly... ESPN ignored what surrounded Rachel Nichols.... Anyone with two functioning brain cells could spot the backlash on the horizon but not the Smartest Guys in the Room...and then they suffer an expensive and spectacular failure.

Yeah... I’d have to give serious side-eye to someone who said they loved Paquin because of her portrayal of Rogue. Even ‘The Rogue Cut’ of DoFP earned derision from me.

I was gonna say “at least it mixes things up with an Asian dude” but then i remembered that “expat” probably still means a generic white european dude.

Josie and the Pussycats is a good movie and the only reason I think it was not a hit when it came out is because it had *actual commentary* rather than just “cartoon characters, but played by real people”. Charlie’s Angels was successful and that offered nothing beyond the show; people were satisfied with three women

I’m guessing her Rogue would have stayed a mutant.

Well, they already have this:

I figured everyone knew who Laraine Newman was but it doesn’t remotely invalidate my point. Laraine, though a huge talent and once a founding member of seminal comedy TV, now makes her living exclusively doing voice-over work on kids TV shows. Her career isn’t exactly red hot, either.

Me, watching the show: who is this unknown not being completely eclipsed by Jean Smart?

It looks more like gauze (or something else perforated), you can see it jutting into the facemask. I would guess that the strategy is to keep the hornets chompers a buffer distance away from your body, and then let them bite all they want, who cares, rather than try in vain to completely coat yourself in something

This show is way overpraised. The main story/relationship should have been the focus of the show. The B stories with like the assistant and the pool guy? They didn’t develop the main relationship enough and had to fluff it out already in season 1. Season 2 will likely be AWFUL!

.....go on.

“Now we know how to take them out. Spread the word.”

You do you, I guess.  But I watched the entire season and loved every second of it and had no idea that she was a child of famous parents until well after the fact.  She’s awesome.

Yeah. Thanks for this. That is why I can’t quite get there with this show.  The writing.

The performances in Hacks were very good. The writing not as good.

Yes, red-hot triple-threat writer / performer / checks notes, “additional voices” in “Tangled”,  Chad Einbinder must certainly have smashed doors open for her.

Yeah, but her mom is Laraine Newman who I love too much to hold that against her.
