Yeah, me liked these books as young monster, but even then me was aware that, while Asimov have fascinating, grand ideas, he not great at writing interesting characters or giving plot emotional stakes. So me glad someone doing loose adaptation of this, just so long as it not I, Robot-level loose.

I wasn’t gonna go over to Gizmodo and argue about it, but I’m perfectly OK with a well-done, Foundation-What-If series about the concept of psychohistory. Not a lot of sci-fi novels from the 50s (or 60s, Jubal Harshaw) would fly in today’s culture.

Io9 had a much more negative review, which was coming more from the perspective of the books. All respect to Asimov, but I tried reading it years ago and got bored when I realized it didn’t really have a plot (or women). Which isn’t to say io9's opinion isn’t valid...but I’m kind of hoping I can enjoy the series as

Sounds like you liked it a great deal more than the folks at Gizmodo. I suspect it might be because you haven’t read the books.

This review is spot on; the first episode makes this seem like just another spin on the Battle Royale genre but the second episode is what really elevates it to something special.

Lol, “changing from within” is what everyone says right before they buy into the system.

Susan Sarandon is pre-heating her oven.

I”m sure I’m going to regret bringing you out of the greys, but when you talk about a nation of “indigenous people” and “refugees,” are you talking about Israel or Palestine? Because, Palestinians are the indigenous people of land that Israel exists on now (the majority of Israelis of Jewish descent would trace their

Between that and the Met gala, yes!

A purity test she built for herself. A purity test she weaponizes against everyone else.

Except Pelosi is retiring the Speakership next year, and many of the others are roughly her age and won’t stay in those positions too long either. I guess AOC can always serve a term or two as a Senator, then come back to the House and run for Speaker. Then return to the Senate and run for majority leader. Then run

Because they spend most, if not all, of it back here. It’s entirely self-serving.

Disclaimer: I’m dumb and confused.

Not as good as a 1 film version.

I’m obviously being a little facetious, but I do think he’s a very good director and much weaker as a screenwriter, at least recently.

Based on his last three movies that have actually been released, I can’t imagine how bad the scripts are that he couldn’t get made.

Wow, it’s pretty rare to find a guy in Los Angeles who wrote 20 scripts that were never filmed!

Lewinsky was obviously a needy and insecure young woman, so Tripp’s ability to manipulate her is not surprising. My take has always been that Tripp liked having someone close to the president to gossip with (and who was naive enough not to know better), then lucked into something she could use.

It must be fun feeling so smug and superior to a working journalist when you cannot even be bothered to learn basic English. Among other things, “Isikoff’s” means it belongs to Isikoff, not a plural number of people named Isikoff, and the TV character’s name is “Cryptkeeper” one word, lowercase K, ffs.

I’m familiar with Matt Drudge, but I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a picture of him, so I never really had a conception of what he looks like.  When I saw the photo above I thought Billy Eichner was playing R. Crumb, pre-mustache.
