It’s funny, if you try to say “Ed Sheeran” out loud, all that comes out is white noise. Like his music.

Well... I probably just don't care about Ed Sheeran.
I’m studying for my Part 107 drone license right now. One of the first things they teach you is the 400ft maximum altitude. Then the second thing is that you ALWAYS yield right of way to a manned aircraft. A Cessna at landing speed should have easily been visible if the pilot in command / visual observer was…
Weird, what I gathered from the headline was, “Heroic cops try to take down plane because pilots weren’t wearing masks and spreading covid to the population below.”
It’s an interesting tale. Kind of low-rent Hollywood redux. Nobody really gave a shit about Ron unless he was making him money that day , but they cared even less about all the women he allegedly abused (and, it should go without saying, they cared about those women the least when Ron was making them money that day.)
Two second hand Ron Jeremy stories:
If someone crashes into your vehicle because you were in a lane of traffic you were not supposed to be in, you caused the crash.
I gave you the only star I had to give, because there was no way to make that star say “Holy shit!” Thanks for digging this up.
The prop damage mentioned above is scary stuff. Losing propulsion on final would suck. Hard. Even with an instructor aboard.
For help visualizing, this is the dent it left:
Don’t give the cops any ideas on how to combine those two things.
The right way to fix the problem would be to require anyone selling a drone to verify the person they’re selling it to has the necessary qualifications, either commercial or recreational.
They might get compensation without a lawsuit. The cops will have insurance to cover their stupidity.

Cops need drones like I need another hole in my head.
so if shooting down a drone carries the same penalty as shooting down an airliner then this was the police using a guided missle to take out an aircraft.
Fortunately, the lawsuit would be an easy slam dunk and worth pursuing. There were multiple violations made by the police to cause the incident.
Prevailing wisdom is that they’re “better” but it’s kind of like pointing out that Saddam Hussein wasn’t as bad as Joseph Stalin. Better doesn’t mean good.
If they were indigenous they would have been.
Except that this was in Canada, which is why the pilots did not get shot in the aftermath.
That drone vs. airliner wing video is just damn and it wasn’t even a very large one. As they are so cheap and ubiquitous I am seriously surprised haven’t been even more incidents, one event is too many as anyone with a lick of common sense doesn’t fly shit around an active airport.
