having worked in the fashion industry, I agree that the hand wringing over the "real woman" phase is completely ridiculous. People can stop worrying that they are "body shaming" models.

Meh, I've worked in the fashion industry. I hardly think the using the phrase "real women" when asking for more body diversity or bodies more representative of typical women, is body shaming.

I've got to admit, I'm a hypocrite when it comes to my meats (yummmmm). I think rabbits are delicious but I don't think I could watch one killed as they are too cute & fluffy. In fact, I'd probably struggle to watch any land animal killed, although I could probably watch them be butchered. And then eat them.

The video is an absolute delight of a joke. But I will say that the two most beautiful women I know (one my sister, one a childhood friend) know they are attractive but are nonetheless riddled with insecurity. I think some of it comes from being told by society at large that their value is connected to their looks,

Are men ever referred to as "over-sharers"?

Victoria's Secret is tacky as shit but they somehow have a lot of the biggest, high fashion names walk their annual show - Joan Smalls, Karlie Kloss, Liu Wen. . .

Some models have real staying power - I would argue that the two biggest/perhaps only real "supermodels" are Karlie Kloss & Joan Smalls and they've both walked for VS, as tacky as it may be.

Not a fan of Kim K but I think this is a great image, but otherwise I agree with your statement - I would have lived it to be less photoshopped.

I guess my point is that there really is no standard. Sometimes sizes even vary wildly within a brand. For instance in a French line like Isabel. Marant, sometimes I am a 38 in a dress, other times a 40 or 42. Designers all have their own fit models and very different ideas about how a garment should fit.

it's not even that they are manufactured in so many countries - designers use different fit models & have ideas on how they want their clothing to fit. I learned quickly that even if a garment had an intentionally big fit, women would size down because they could.

they are not using basing her size on sewing patterns. Having worked in fashion as a buyer for a high end boutique, her size is based on designer sizing. If I had to guess from a photo (which would be a bad idea) what size she would be as a customer, I'd guess an 8 or 10 based on her height/broadness of her shoulders.

Sizing is a really elusive thing. Having been a buyer for a boutique that specialized in under the radar type of designers for many years, I try not to get too wrapped up in it. While I can wear a 4 (or often 2!) at the Gap, and even a 4 in contemporary lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs (I don't buy his clothes anymore -

She also wore vintage Bakelite bracelets in the 80s before they came collectible again

Shhhh! You are not allowed to point out anything problematic about Beyoncé!

Ugh, white people always cry in space!

looks like you're right that they were his real family from reading the comments of those who read the comics, but wrong that he was abusive - he went apeshit on some bad men in the group they were with & killed them & freaked his family out.

I never thought he was a scientist - but then I thought that him lying was too obvious of a storyline that he must be a scientist! I hated last nights episode.

No - she's grown on me!

I agree - they need to develop Michonne the same way they have Rick/Carol!! They started dipping into her past last season & it seemed heartbreaking & interesting. She seems to have a real connection to Carl & Rick now. Sooo much potential! (Also I could care less about the offshoot group - kind of including Maggie. &

Tyrese is now Herschel/Dale. I think it's as much about being the group's real touchstone of humanity as well as the voice of reason. I will be crushed if they kill Tyrese!
