I think this series was just remarkable. Michaela Coel creates this amazingly vivid world that I’m not sure I’ve seen before. Tackling issues of race, consent and attitudes to sex, friendship, relationships, family. I never knew what to expect from it and I think it was brilliant. Not always easy or comfortable but

I wasn’t totally convinced by Debicki is some of her early roles, but Widows converted me. Plus seeing her alongside the super talented 5’1 Cynthia Erivo was a giggle! Hiddleston reunion? He make a good latter Prince Charles but possibly too big a name for The Crown

I disagree we are not supposed to like Arabella. Indeed. This show is all about making you question your opinions. Is what Kwame did wrong? What about Terry’s threesome in Italy? Should the white lady from the support group be forgiven for her teen racist based actions? The complexity and nuance to the way it tells

Recent history rewrites like Ryan Murphy’s Hollywood, Tarentino in Inglorious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and this show just all seem to end up as absurd and laughable wish fulfilment. Not sure what any of them have to say except fanfic level ‘what if...?’

The first 4 episodes of this second season are terrific. There’s a Bourne-sequel quality to the plotting and scheming and Esme Creed-Miles (who is the spitting image of her mum, Samantha Morton!) and Mireille Enos are compelling as uneasy allies trying to find the truth about what happened to Clara. I’m sensing ep5

For me, the Kings are amongst the most underrated writers/producers around. They take standard premise - cop show, lawyer show, political drama - and give them a delightfully nutty and imaginative twist. Evil could have been a standard X Files, Fringe procedural but they really went there with some of their

As a Brit and a long time scoffer but secret Eurovision lover, I was intrigued by this however I’m not sure it works if you don’t have some connection to the Eurovision Song Contest. For those not familiar, it will just be a silly comedy. I appreciate they have tried to capture the naff camp wonder of it! Graham

To me Will Ferrell looks a lot older than Rachel McAdams. I looked it up after and there is only about 10 or 11 years between them - in Hollywood terms that makes them practically the same age! Ferrell has been l,aging the same not especially funny character for years and was the weakest link in this movie for me.

Didn’t really care for this. I love Matthew Rhys but I’m a bit fed up of Prestige gritty shows that are whiter than white and maler than male. Bring on Tatiana Maslany! However, I do agree Gayle Rankin (the breakout in S3 of GLOW as Sheila found her human under the wolf) was excellent. I wasn’t a Boardwalk Empire fan

Despite a talented cast and plenty of Netflix cash, this was simply not funny for me. I made it through 2 episodes before turning off bored.

I think my only complaint about Legends the last couple of seasons is the way they are shedding characters. Why ditch Ray and Nora? Sorry to lose Charlie and Zari 1.0. Is it just me or has Caity Lotz been gone a lot? Can we expect and Sara-lite opening to the next season?

It’s the old problem every show has with a great season 1 villain, how do they keep doing it without getting repetitive. What almost every show does is turn them into the hero! Personally, I have liked seeing that the decision to kill her mother has affected Villanelle. We have seen her teary eyed and questioning and

Sarah Paulson does not do enough comedy! She was great in one of the most fun episodes of this often maddening series. That conference did indeed look wonderful - especially now of course. Paulson and Melanie Lynsky in particular looked like they had a giggle 🤭

For me there was simply not enough plot for a 7 episode series. If it HAD turned into a proper on-the-run crime drama and less of the rather preposterous but under developed premise - that you would ditch your whole life for a high school sweetheart - then it might have been more compelling.

That fluffy green golfing outfit is right up there for top Villanelle costume! Stunningly weird and wacky!

I like the actors but the pacing is a real problem for me. It feels like nothing really happened this week. Gleeson and Weaver are great but they are having the same conversation over and over. I did enjoy the weird flirting between PWB and the odd lady cop. However both Gleeson and Weaver are kind of assholes and

For a show that has always resisted cleavage, Gemma’s ‘look’ was quite distracting!

Villanelle is clearly still shaken up over everything with her mother. Interesting reaction from Konstantin to the news of her killing her. Villanelle does seem kind of lost and I’m not sure Dasha is going to be her best comfort. She made a mess of the politician in Romania so the 12 might not think of her such a

I’d heard this was going to be an all Villanelle episode and I wasn’t sure if no Eve or Carolyn of Konstantin would work. The episode played the humour quite broad - a Elton John? Really? The harvest festival and Villanelle - Oksana as she was back to being this episode - winning the dung throwing.

The lady Dasha met from The Twelve is played by Camille Cottin - if anyone saw the hysterically funny French show Call My Agent in Netflix, you’ll know her as the lead, Andrea. Interestingly, she also played the title role in the French remake of Fleabag, keeping the Phoebe Waller-Bridge link going. She’s an excellent
