not that different than chips, but malt vinegar is good on tater tots

you can get powdered worcestershire if you need a drier mix for popcorn. i get mine on amazon. it’s one of the ingredients in my DIY buffalo (wing) popcorn seasoning

my spiced popcorn starting point was badia cajun seasoning stirred into melted butter. delightful.
eventually it led all the way to buffalo wing seasoned popcorn.

this is exactly how i started one of my favorite flavor combinations, by making a soy-marmite-butter sauce for popcorn. which then morphed into a compound butter version (softened butter and a mixer instead of melted) for toast, corn, etc. and now i just make the compound butter, move the majority to storage

yes! especially compound butters on sandwiches. dill pickle compound butter is phenomenal on a deli meat turkey sandwich. i also do a soy/marmite compound butter that is fantastic with stronger flavored meats like salamis

i am not completely sure on the science, but i know the low/non fat versions have other stuff added in to make them thicker. i’m diabetic and count carbs, i don’t use the low/non fat versions of dairy because the additives increase the carb count. (and low fat sour cream/yogurt is gross)

i find rice syrup to be fantastic as the sweetener in my salad dressings. oligo or ssalyeot. my current favorite blend, especially to dress up a cabbage and apple salad, includes ssalyeot, dijon mustard, apple vinegar (not apple cider vinegar, but that would probably work too), ginger, garlic powder, soy sauce (for

if you have more than one cat and one of them tends to bully the other, i recommend against this. it creates an opportunity for bullying and trapping the victim in the litterbox when they can’t see the bully coming. this leads to litterbox avoidance and things like peeing on the rug and pooping in your shoes.

pee before you go to sleep or your body will also spend calories to keep your bladder warm

apply bacon (not the thick stuff) or thinly sliced country ham standing up between your potato slices. it greases and seasons at the same time and you also get delicious salty pork product cooked at the same time.

came here to say i have done this and suggest the following:
use your blender

came here to say this. i concur heartily.

i’ve dissolved these in hot whiskey before for a sore throat. you could probably make a syrup out of them for a cocktail and they come in a couple of “+fruit” varieties (depending on the brand)

i have made a mandarin orange spice tea syrup for baklava but never took it beyond that. i am now contemplating all the many teas in my tea cabinet (including lapsang souchong which i love and buy in bulk) with a fresh eye.

or if you can’t get the pickle smell out, use them for kimchi!

i actually just got an order of the newspring soup/deli containers from webstaurantstore.com. i got a bunch about ten years ago and finally killed the containers (still have quite a few pristine lids). i get them by the case in the quart and pint sizes and then just a sleeve of their 12 oz ones because i split them

i would use chinese sesame paste instead of tahini for a cookie. i have used it for desserts and ice cream before and it’s lovely. here’s an example

i work tech support for an online education software/publishing company. we try to get most of our stuff working for chromebooks but there’s so much they can’t do. during this pandemic, a lot of students suddenly using chromebooks has caused all sorts of problems with trying to complete homework.

unless you are taking a class in advanced office suite software. then you need a pc or a mac, because the online versions aren’t compatible with the educational software. and excel for mac is limited, access database software for mac doesn’t exist. chromebook users basically can’t complete the homework for those

i work for a company that publishes online training programs for microsoft office for education. so many tech support calls from mac users who have done the training labs, which demonstrate the windows version of excel, and call because when they get to the projects, it looks/acts differently and half the functions
