That’s kinda my point. That it seems pointless to make a suspense/horror show version of a video game that was itself just a video game version of a suspense/horror show.
Why do monsters in sci-fi films always make a “clicking” noise? You’d think they’d be more successful hunters if they didn’t constantly give their position away.

I dunno, I can’t say I’m all that excited about watching a live action adaptation of an interactive version of an already live action genre.
Maybe it’s just because I’ve played way too many video games in my life (which I get is a “me” problem and not really the movie’s fault) but I didn’t find any of the environments in Avatar to be all that spectacular looking.
