I was obsessed with the idea of owning one of these for like a month until suddenly I remembered that I no longer have any real interest in or patience for Gameboy (or even Gameboy Advance) games. It was 99% nostalgia fueling that mania
Check out Polygon’s review! It was decidedly less positive. Some concerns there about it being too dark for young kids.
“But I’ve read multiple interviews with him where his feelings about his body and the unhealthy things he does to look that way border on dysmorphia (e.g. deliberately getting severely dehydrated so that his muscles would pop more for a shirtless scene in The Witcher).”
Strange, right? Guacamelee looked way more professional and polished despite coming out quite a long time back
Agreed. Also, if you look closely enough, most of society rests on a base of elaborate consens-driven fictions. Wealth! Property! Status!
Yeah. I think if the writer is going to be this level of enraged, he needs to either pick a topic that’s more obvious in its moral implications or provide more support for his points. As you note, it wasn’t clear to me that all blockchain tech is as resource intensive as bitcoin or virtual currency, and while i would…
Dude, get the fuck out of here. It’s a blog-style post. The whole point is for her to express her goddamn opinions. Go read something else and let people enjoy the comments

Yes yes yes. And I assume there’s decent overlap between people who want to collect a hundred cars and decorate them and people who want to dress up their avatar in stylish hoodies. I feel like the less he understands something, the more arrogant he becomes. I’m down to hear him talk about cars, rocket companies, climate change; I think he's disqualified himself from talking about politics, rescue operations, public transit, public health/epedimiology, and so on.
Im guessing his headache was a product of both the frame rate (animating “on twos,” which gives it that jerky look) and the intentional color separation with the red and blue, both of which give the movie it's comic book aesthetic and which i think are essential to it's distinctive style!
Yup, free on PS+ in a few days, and currently free on Game Pass
