Your references to the Twitter files, “transgenderism” (lol), CIA bribes and assassinations, Wikileaks, Fauci, and Wuhan suggest you are pretty, pretty deep down the hole. Good luck to you and everyone in your life supporting you through this.

Naw, fuck the big companies, but his arguments are well considered. Also, game developers, like everyone else, need to eat

Major Cunt, reporting for business, sir.

Yeah, the assumption is based more on Cox’s general comments toward today's pop culture and toward cashing paychecks :)

Brian Cox is so famously a cynical grouch that it’s impossible to watch this without imagining repeated cut interludes where he says things like ”What is this shit?” And “This is fucking nonsense.” And "The things I do for money."

I would buy a car that could double as a Gran Turismo simulator

I think this is on-point for some people but doesn't apply to others. If you don't have a certain temperament and baseline experience with these types of games, I think trying to get into Souls games as an adult could be excruciating, with no light at the end of the tunnel

I enjoyed this. A good reminder that despite all the objective-seeming criticism around games, we like what we like. (I also agreed with a lot of it, since I play a lot of games but struggle to maintain interest with the AAA stuff.)

“And, it goes without saying, society has done away with the capitalist playbook; chain stores and office buildings have fallen to ruin, and anything you could ever want is free of charge.”

Y'all gon get held back a grade

The answer is yes. Start with Control. Then play Alan Wake 2 on easy. You got this. It’s more spooky than full-throated horror.

Frankly, I would be happiest if they just released War of the Lions on Switch with some minor quality of life improvements and a higher resolution. I would prefer not to have the art or aesthetics changed. It already looks great! And I’m still bummed by FF9, which is so much uglier on modern consoles than it was on

I think he means he doesn’t blame development staff, as opposed to whoever in corporate greenlit the project and put it on an unreasonable timeline

The tone of that email definitely conveys positivity and optimism toward the company, it's future, and his own leadership

I would hate for them to buy Nintendo. First of all, "their success lies off their hardware" means they would kill the Switch and move things onto Xbox. Second of all, no I can't argue this anymore it's just too awful to consider

He's making a joke about how conspiracy theorists speak

An alternative or complementary take is that people who are bullied can often be shitty to other people too. Sometimes shitty behavior just gets passed on

Thanks :)

No one has ever quoted God Is Not Great to me... :/
