You can make the brownies in one of these.

I could definitely get into Trace. This is fun.

I’ve seen Martin Barre twice in Santa Cruz. It was a really intimate venue, and his band did a great hard-rock interpretation of the old Tull classics, plus a lot of Martin’s solo material.

Seeing Ian Anderson live in a few weeks. (Yeah, I know, his voice, but I saw him a couple years ago as well, and the rest of the musicianship was absolutely on point.)

I have a copy of Snow Goose, but somehow I’ve never been able to get into Camel. (I also tend to conflate them in my head with Caravan, who I’ve never actually listened to...) I think with 70s prog, most of my focus is on the slightly harder-edged stuff, like ELP, Van der Graaf Generator, and Jethro Tull.

I was slightly interested in his show a few years ago. Then he did this monologue about how all of society’s problems were caused by Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy, and... sorry, that’s just too stupid. I had to pull the plug.

The Autobot Jazz in the 2007 Transformers movie was a Pontiac Solstice. Say hello to his cousin, the Autobot Kenny G.

I probably won’t play this, but this article does give me Freelancer flashbacks. Good times, especially once I started looking into the mods.

Jack Quaid reacting to the scene as an adult:

Is that actually an SR-71, or is it an A-12? (It’s got the twin-seats.)

‘Teedus’ is not a Japanese name, for what it’s worth. (The ‘tee’ sound doesn’t occur naturally in Japanese, if I remember correctly from studying in college — it would only ever be used for foreign words.) If anything, it fits into the previously established elemental theme for protagonist names — ‘Cloud’, ‘Squall’,

That’s really cool! I am curious, what do you consider some of the better car films? Obviously Rush and Ford vs Ferrari seem pretty well regarded (vs, for instance, Driven starring Sylvester Stallone...)

I guess Sting didn’t like another stringed instrument player getting all the attention XD

That was a great film! I’m curious, how different was Wreck-it Ralph 2 car stuff from Wreck-it Ralph car stuff?

Also starring Harrison Ford, Minnie Driver, Vin Diesel, Chevy Chase, with a cameo by Jean-Claude Van Damme...

What about Gurney Halleck’s small dog?

It turns out the real conflict is between secretly immortal Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.

I’ve never seen it, fwiw. As part of Kevin Smith’s latter-day output, it may not be essential viewing...

Adjacent to that, I wonder if there’s ever any hope for a fifth full Blackadder series. Probably a daydream at best. Comedy as a whole has evolved a lot since those days, and a retread of the original formula wouldn’t go over well — but changing it too much would alienate fans of the original.

well, she was in ‘yoga hosers’
