But that’s not how he won. The last Yankee dynasty was built with combining home grown players with not quite high level free agents. The spend whatever it takes Yankees that preceded that dynasty were flops almost every year.

Because it’s funny.

Jim Paschke is a delight.

I threw away my empty bottle of Suave shampoo plus conditioner last week.  I started it in November...of 2017.  My wife thinks I’m nuts for spending $30 on a haircut, only to use crap shampoo.  But how does she think I can afford the nice haircut?

Boy that is some justification right there.

But to be honest he’s been simply gloriously above average at Ohio. 14 seasons, no conference titles (0-4 in conference title games), never lost less than four games a year.  He’s not great, but he certainly isn’t bad - not even mediocre.  He’s a solid “B.”  And that works at Ohio! (Which is kind of refreshing.)

The NFLPA agreed to the policy that included weed. And now both parties are looking at getting rid of that policy. Sorry but hundreds of players know and understand this.

That was clearly a block, or better yet a no call. The defender flopped after the offensive player avoided direct contact. That’s the exact way the NCAA wants that called to reward the offensive player.

Thanks for the comment Elon.

<shrugs shoulders>  I’ll kiss her ass.

Reggio Emilia is the name of the city. A.C. Reggiana was the name of the club.

Not only was I alive, but I was old. Which is probably why I think it’s more obscure than it is.

Nothing better than references to obscure, 20+ year old songs in a Deadspin comment.

But what does “worthy champion” really mean?  Playoffs have existed long before they were televised. It’s how American leagues determine their champion - there is really nothing superior or inferior about it.

They will redraw after the first round.

I mean, the older daughter worked for the team in pretty meaningless positions and was eventually fired. She may just not be very good.

I think WAAAYYYY too many are people are thinking that my initial comment was an invitation to start some sort of philosophical debate, and not just a silly, off the cuff comment I made in between work projects when I could play around on the internets.

I know plenty of them. Friends with many. Regardless, I don’t make comments here to engage in debate.

To be fair, asking “Why would anyone choose to be a conservative?” is a VERY good question.

Why would the Red Sox pay someone like Bradley, Jr. when they could theoretically get 85% of his production from a guy they don’t have to pay all that much? I’m not sure why this is “frustrating.” It’s what baseball has become. Teams aren’t going to pay an enormous premium for marginal extra value.
