I miss Gandhi. I realize why it was offensive, but he was the funniest part of a very funny show and part of the core trio. I’m hopeful this will be good but man, it’s hard to have it without him.

Or about starting a new Young Avengers team. I’m not going to claim Spider-Man has ever been consistently grounded but it always has had a fun insular quality that keeps getting lost.
That looked lovely! I really like how they’ve managed to film all the barbie world stuff to look like it occurs in a playset/soundstage.
True true, it’s just, Spider-man (any Spider-man) works best as a kid from Brooklyn who’s constantly outmatched but always finds a way. He has rent to pay, homework to turn in, and bad luck with girls but dammit he keeps going.
I agree with all of this! Also, no idea why you were in the grays but I hope this helps!
End of the day, kids (and people in general) should be encouraged to read things that challenge them. Ideally this should be accompanied by education that helps them understand what they’re encountering.
Huge between ‘allowed to’ and ‘should’. I said publishers shouldn’t do it, not that they should be legally banned from doing so. Publishers are legally allowed to do a number of things that are morally or ethically objectionable. In my opinion this is one of them.
But again, I imagine you’re plenty smart enough to diff…
I feel oddly like I’m crossing some sort of political aisle to say I’m against both the edits to old authors and the stupid Florida Bill. Both are bad things we shouldn’t be doing.
Really? That part made me cringe. They already recreated the meme in the after the credits of the first. In this case it felt like a cheap gag since there’s no reason any of them would react like that. Felt like the worst sort of pander-y fan-service where the movie goes overboard to make sure everyone recognizes the…
Can’t help but feel the movie I want is the one where Miles balances his relationship with his parents with fighting weirdo villains like Spot.
Instead we’re getting a giant two part multiverse saga...which I’m sure will be a visually rich and moving adventure. But I’d still just like to watch the kid be spider-man in…

“Year after year of boring, boring DC films...”
Ideally it doesn’t in any way capture the real DnD experience.
Is the arc de triumphe one not qualifying for some reason? That one was amazing.
Ahhhhh, thanks to you (and the four other posters) who reminded me of this. It’s all so clear now.
I mean, I’m of the mind that Wayne’s world is just less funny Beavis and Butthead but that might be an island.
Can someone explain the ‘more knots than Waynes World One and Two put together’ line? I usually understand Ted’s pop culture wordplay but despite having seen Wayne’s World, I didn’t get it.
Well that looked fantastic. Sort History of Violence by way of Taxi Driver.
David Mitchell (British comedian not the novelist) wrote a great piece about how this is more about intellectual bankruptcy than it is censorship. The publishers are cowards, too dedicated to money and continuing to sell their old IP to simply take it out of circulation so they instead edit it.
I think it’s pretty…
Your worst take yet! I have to admire being able to top yourself like that.
Damn it, Judge Judy!
