Well that’s the tone of the opening tbh. Up to this part most of it was just setting up the world and the characters, and the world was super bleak. About where you’re at it doesn’t become so life and death all the time and there are moments if you follow through with learning about all the characters.

I consider the first to be a perfect movie. Not saying it’s my favorite, but the casting, music, cinematography, story - everything was correct.

I’m not a big Abrams fan at all, but in relation to the 3rd movie - the start of that film and that SUUUUPER run cut with his wife’s life on the line, I’ll always come back to how vested I was.

Honestly so long as you put 2 at the bottom, just about any other order I would respect, because this movie has put out f-ing bangers 90% of the time and I would watch all but 2 again at a drop of the hat.
