I turn 30 in July, and now I am thinking that I will have a huge party and wear a pretty dress, because even if me and my cohabiting dude ever do make it legal, it will be low-key. Plus, if I have a big party on my 30th, then it really is All. About. Me. And from what I've seen, that's how most brides feel about their

"I DOooo..." (Joshua runs away) Well, that oughta do it" LOVE this episode!!

Celebrities really should have more fun with the paparrazi, since they basically live outside their homes. The tabloids would be so much more interesting if like, Jen and Courtney Cox shared the pregnancy belly, and switched the days of the week they wore it.

I worked at Bath and Body Works, and the bag checks were performed at the entrance to the store, right before the employee left. If they came back in the store for any reason, they must be walked to the front by a manager and the bag checked again.

As a former Mormon, who seriously dated a Mormon dude, adults who practice abstinence before marriage are just like teenagers. At least the dude I dated was. It was like, sex was this forbidden thing and it was ALL he could think of. I was already a lady of the world when I started dating him and I was like, let's

You know, those babies are pretty safe in there. Pregnant women slip and fall all the time without causing serious damage to the fetus. Not that I'm advocating climbing while pregnant, but that women can't stay in a glass box until the fetus is delivered.

For the first few years of my oldest nephew's life, my mother was taking care of him. She was quite overweight at the time and they ate McDonald's together at least once a day, if not more. Since he was a growing toddler, he wasn't overweight, but I bet he wasn't as healthy as he could have been either. He also didn't

It's easy to say that, but teachers and administrators are stretched so thin as is. Then add meddling parents to the mix threatening lawsuits, and it becomes much more complicated to find a solution.

I get her point though, because I doubt most Americans, and especially Bachmann, think of a black person when they think Muslim.

I find your comment intriguing. I am currently writing a chapter for a 3rd grade text book dealing with slavery and cotton plantations. We use "slaves" when referring to enslaved people from Africa. But when we move on to slaves who have been freed, we use the terms "black" and "African American" interchangeably.

My thoughts exactly! Old people would be the perfect target for a terrorist to try and slip something past security. Drop something in their bag, convince them to carry something, etc. Especially if it was an older person whose mental capacity is somewhat diminished.

I AM afraid of flying, and if I heard that message while mid-air, I would probably immediately throw up or something, and then need to be medically sedated for the rest of the flight. Or given lots of booze.

So you think it's okay to swear around children, but not to serve beer around children? You said yourself it's a child-oriented business...so why doesn't that extend to what kind of language that should be expected there.

That makes me worry for the children she treats.

That's so terrible, I'm sorry. It's such a difficult situation. I've known good men who were bishops (like my dad), but I also know men like my sister in law's step-father who had an affair and fathered a child with the woman while serving on the bishopric. There needs to be more of a screening process in place.

I left before ever going to the temple, but I've heard enough to know it's quite strange. I knew a woman who converted in her 20s, after having an abortion as a teen, and had to have that conversation with a missionary and then a stake president.

I just saw from your comment down below that you were also raised Mormon, so I'm sure you have stories that are probably just as bad, or worse as mine.

Oh do I have some stories. I was raised Mormon. I was taught that I had to confess my sins to my bishop in order to be forgiven. Including sexual sins. My bishop when I was a child was a 60+ year old man (obvs).

Thank you! The last straw came for me today when I got a talking to about having used all my PTO but 12 hours (which begins accruing again in 2 weeks)...apparently they frown on people using all the time off granted to them instead of having it rollover to the next year. This place is all sorts of crazy.

I was replying to her first comment about people with kids getting privileges not granted to those of us without children. Although, I actually once did have to take a day off to take my dog to the vet because she was wetting the bed. Not even joking.
