Seriously. I asked to work from home a couple days a week for a month so I could save money on gas to pay for repairs to my car, because I make no money and I was denied. (Working from home is very common at my office.)

Me too!!! I just pictured Anna and Mary actually becoming *friends* in America, where the class levels were, I assume, less strict, and like, going out on the town in the roaring 20s of NYC. Of course, that would have conflicted with my desire to see Mary and Matthew get together, but still. I want it all! (Mostly

That's an interesting theory about "Friends." But when I think about the level of attractiveness regarding say, Matthew Perry versus like....idk Zac Efron (he's supposed to be good looking, right) or something, they are completely different. In my opinion, anyway.

Ah yes, little boys tend to react to guns differently than girls. I wanted nothing to do with the guns! But my brother had his own hunting rifle and went hunting with our dad, so he was less curious about what was inside the safe, and never tried to break into it (as far as I know).

My dad always had guns when I was growing up, from hand guns to hunting rifles. But they were always locked up in a gun safe, like a big, huge safe in the corner of a room, not a lock box that could be carried around. My mom and dad were the only ones who knew the combination and I was very aware of gun safety rules

Congrats on sticking to your goals and making so much progress! That is a really inspirational story. I am starting on a quest to lose 50 lbs, and I would love to know what some of the tumblrs are that you follow. (I'm cannonball101.tumblr.com)

Totally agree. I have a Toyota Avalon and with snow tires I do just fine. SUV drivers often think they are untouchable in the snow because of their vehicle type, but you have to respect the weather, otherwise you end up stuck or smashed into a median because of a spin out!

I live in Salt Lake City (lots of snow) and I have none of those things in my car. I do have a cell phone charger though. And chains for my tires (which I don't know how to install). But it's a very metropolitan/suburban area and I never go into the wilderness/mountains.

Well, in her defense, it was on Twitter, and every character counts there.

I don't think it's so much that they don't care about themselves, as it is they don't care what other people think about their choice of clothing. So, then, you shouldn't bother yourself with caring about them, because they don't want you to. It's a win-win situation!

No flip flops?? Clearly you don't live in California.

Oh yeah definitely! You won't have to have the added stress of living with a guy and figuring that all out, along with figuring out how to live in a new city. Good choice!

I've done the move across the country for a dude thing. What an exciting adventure! My only advice would be that you make sure and make a life outside of that relationship. Keep your girlfriends close and try and form new social circles that don't depend on him. Even if things with him work out great, and you stay

My best friend got married last Saturday and their first dance was to the song from the ball scene! She even wore a mask! (Granted, it was New Orleans, and it was a fancy Mardi Gras mask, so it's a little more normal down there!) Love that movie!

Thank you for understanding my point, I was hoping it would be understood that I didn't think I saved everyone from being raped by saying what I did, but merely that I was cognizant that the situation I was in was exactly the kind of situation in which rape can often occur.

My point was that as a woman, even in a situation like a wedding, where typically you know everyone (which, incidentally here, I don't know the groomsmen, as they live in a different state than I do) it's become second nature to me to be on the lookout, and on my guard for potentially dangerous situations. Which is

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding this past weekend and got really trashed. Somehow I found myself walking to the "frat house" the groomsmen had rented a few blocks from the hotel with 2 of the other bridesmaid. I'm 29 and they are both in their early 20s.

I just had to employ my google-fu because I was so confused as I was thinking this movie was about the Peterson wife-killer who murdered his pregnant wife, and doesn't look anything like this. Turns out that was Scott Peterson and Laci Peterson I was thinking about. And I was also pretty sure Dean Cain had already

You just became my best friend! Thank you!!

My friend got married this weekend, and she wanted to watch Toddlers and Tiaras one night when we were hanging out. Trying be a good bridesmaid/friend, I agreed, even though I avoid reality TV. Now I can't get enough. I love/hate this show and want to watch all the episodes!! At least I have these recaps to help me
