“I’ve made a huge mistake.”

Marty is going into the witness relocation program and they will put him in a family of real estate developers in Southern California. This show is a prequel to Arrested Development.

This whole thing feels like it was made up by the Onion

Maybe, but before she decided to turn this into a controversy not many people even knew that this movie (which is unlikely to be terribly popular) was even about her and in a way she’s kind of Streisand Effecting it by making a stink.

You know, I’m generally not a fan when journalists make themselves the story. The only time it worked was Woodward and Bernstein and, as big of a story as Weinstein was, it wasn’t exactly Watergate.

And then there’s the Family fucking Circus, bottom right corner, just waiting to suck.

Right? Both signs look to be in the same handwriting. Maybe Baldwin’s holding it because he happened to be standing next to Rudolph. Assuming that it somehow means “I deserve credit for getting rid of Trump. You’re welcome” is inane, absent any specific evidence to that end.

Cask of the amantiallo, hands down.

Agreed on “The Exorcist” as an excellent horror read. I know Stephen King has written tons of novels, but the only one that genuinely scared me was “Salem’s Lot.” Damn, that is a scary vampire book.

It’s also worth noting that, although there were several sequels, the real successor to this movie is the From Dusk Till Dawn television series, which ran for three seasons on Rodriguez’s El Rey channel (itself named after the possibly mythical gangland retirement village in Mexico from the movie) and takes the final

A cute puppet turned meme doesn’t mean the show is actually good.

I own this one and watch it often. It just doesn’t get old for me. Also, Aurora! “Well she’s not outside eating chicken, that’s for sure.”

I think this is a really good observation. Comedies started to move into the “irreverant” mode almost immediately thereafter (think Porky’s, Easy Money, Caddyshack, Stripes).

Foul Play and Seems Like Old Times (even though it’s 1980) both feel SO 1970s. It might have just been changing tastes in movies, Neil Simon romantic comedies were on the way out and raunchy National Lampoon movies were coming in.

“Well said, well spoken, B.G.”. It was frequently played on HBO’s sister channel Cinemax in the 80s and I watched it about as many times as yourself.

This is such a great pick, I saw this movie approximately one million times as a kid. It was one of those on regular HBO rotation. Will never forget the housekeeper going off to get her feet scraped. “Love that chicken pepperoni!”

I had a great conversation with Terence Stamp in a store in New York one time. I told him, “I thought you were fantastic in ‘The Limey,’” and he said, “Then you obviously have impeccable taste.” He was very cool and laughed easily. But he’s intense- he’s one of those people who stands about six inches closer to you

Oh no, you’ve got to go downtown, George. It’s all downtown. Just like the song says.

I’m cosigning this specifically, it’s been quite the journey with the AV Club and HTGAWM was one of the last shows I came back to read on, the end of an era.

“Yeah, I’m talking to you Annie Hall!” Oh man, this show is so good.
