The actor who played Richie was really good to me. He out-creeped Tarantino.

“The Edison’s are gonna have the best sex they’ve had since Altamont.”
“I was married to him before I was married to him.”
I showed this movie to a gay friend who had never seen it and he didn’t like it that much. He said there was no character development and you don’t know that much about the characters, and they performed the same tired songs you always hear. Granted, he is eight years younger than me, so maybe that had something to do…
At trivia once, I could not for the life of me remember Wilhelm’s name and I still haven’t gotten over it. RIP
the end of an era
I rarely visit the AV Club anymore, but I always come to read these reviews. They have always been thoughtful and I have always enjoyed them, even though I wondered at times if we were watching the same show. It may have not been perfect, but it was always fun, and to me that’s what mattered most.
Wes was far too boring of a character to be in the spotlight for as long as he was.
I think she over-enunciates words and it makes her lines feel, I don’t know, performed rather than delivered, if that makes sense.
I wish Patti Lupone wasn’t quite as much of a caricature, but it was still good to see her pop up.
As much as I enjoy this show, I *really* had to roll my eyes when she said that.
I remember him saying “The only thing I know about movies is I’m not very good in them.”
I never got why anyone, for one second, would take him seriously.
American Horror Story has continued to have the best intro.
I started listening to it from the beginning earlier this year and I’m 80-something episodes in, and while overall it’s enjoyable enough, sometimes they’re a *little* too impressed with their own cutesiness and forgo details to do the “You’re hilarious!” “No *you’re* hilarious!” thing that gets annoying at times.
I would’ve watched an entire movie of JK Simmons and that other CIA guy.
H.I.’s coworker in Raising Arizona
Just Shoot Me did have that episode where Mark Hamill followed David Spade around and kept asking him asinine questions, which was pretty hilarious.
This movie is funny? I must have missed that.
I couldn’t believe they went Full Shawshank. Down to the hammer and everything.
