Let me preface by saying that I am no great lover of celebrities and their causes. It does often come across as a way to get free publicity and to be seen as a good person.

Equally horrified by Billy Bush in this one. You just have this skeevy converstation with a guy where he talks about how his fame gets him all the babes — even when they aren’t actually okay with him hitting on them. And you...when you meet a woman...you admonish her for not hugging that guy?

Meh. I think his point is that Hillary seems to have only one focus which is power and how to get it. What does she actually believe, like or do in real life? It’s hard to tell because she basically is always running for something and always tap dancing to whatever she believes that day’s audience would like her to be.

Al Gore and John Kerry both lost, in large part due to their lack of charisma. I definitely heard many, many, many complaints about Gore being boring and completely lacking in personality. Kerry, not as much, but definitely heard it often.

Black, boarding school and Ivy League educated female here as well. My boss in London was an actual Lord who invited me into the royal enclosure at Ascot where I was the only black person and had a great time. A good friend of mine (who went to Harvard and was a member of the Porcellian Club) invited me to his house

Meh, her only job is to look pretty and be gracious when she goes places.

Yeah, this is interesting.

Sure, she doesn’t have to defend the movie.

Most cruise ships don’t allow women who are more than 24 weeks pregnant to sail on their ships. They can most certainly apply that to their employees.

I don’t think this is about religion, actually. I think it’s more a cost-saving measure by people who aren’t at all concerned about their staff. One employee mentions other areas where they are putting the onus on employees which sounds like someone realized that an easy way to address sagging profits is to take away

Black woman here.

No, that’s not quite what happened.

No, this is the stories that make the news about Uber. People take the cars everyday and have nothing but good things to say. I take Uber pretty much every weekend and have really nothing negative to say and I don’t know any person who has anything negative to say about them.

You’re immediately charged for a cancelled order. As soon as you hit that button, there’s a charge to your card on file. They don’t know why you cancel unless you tell them the reason.

But there are so many stories of the same things happening with yellow cabs in NY as well. All of those stories are somehow magically forgotten when someone brings up Uber. The real issue is that it’s a “new” thing and people are wary of new things.

Don’t go to the gym! I hate it as well and it was always a chore and had to drag myself there. So I went out and bought some weights (5, 10, 15, 25lbs) and just use various online (free!) workout programs. My fave is fitnessblender because they are funny and have literally hundreds of different videos.

It’s a triphasic pill, hence the different colors. The color change is helpful because it shows different parts of the cycle. If you missed one or two of brownish pills (but made them up with the dreaded two in a day) no big deal, because it’s earlier in your cycle and less likely that you’d get pregnant. Now, getting

Yep, absolutely. I’ve said this. Others have said this, but it doesn’t seen to make a difference. C’est la vie.

I think Inhofe is full of shit, but it certainly exists. I mean, did we not just have two very prominent gay businessmen have a pajama party with Ted Cruz who is a known hateful bigot? Sometimes people really don’t see that they are impacted by an issue, so they don’t do what we’d expect them to do.
