Let’s also make sure everyone knows exactly how much grift is on the table here.

Ugh. As a rational citizen trapped in the South, this has me triggered.
“The biggest difference however, is now there are “only” 3 possibly 4 tax brackets vs 7 of the current setup. This wasn’t meant to burn anyone. In fact it is meant to help simplify taxes allowing individuals to save money come tax time by being able to do their own taxes.”
“and if you don’t like it, you can giiiit out”
True, but you can’t blame that on Trump. He is just the latest beneficiary.
You forgot #3. Make sure everyone knows Donny has a big dick. The biggest dick. You won’t believe how big Donny’s dick is. And hard. For sexing on beautiful women, such as his daughter, but not actually his daughter, I don’t think.
Tax reform is really hard to accomplish. Tax cuts on the rich is really, really easy.
The United States of America is an illiberal shit-hole of an oligarchy.
Well that’s part of the problem, though. As they state above, most of us who that deduction actually helps will no longer benefit from it. My house was tough for us to afford; still is. We had to get out of renting, though. But it’s not a multi-million dollar home and we don’t have the money to contribute large sums…
Sorry to repeat this one but HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS THAT WOULD HAVE GONE INTO THE PUBLIC TREASURY WILL INSTEAD GO INTO THE POCKETS OF THE TRUMP FAMILY AND THE FAMILIES OF HIS CABINET MEMBERS.
I take comfort in the fact that everyone is describing tax reform as, “much harder to accomplish than healthcare reform.”
You clearly do not live in California. They are everywhere.
And Africa doesn’t want us. Our money, maybe. But not us. They’ve got their own prejudices and weirdness and have no time for our stuff.
This. For most black people, for better or worse, THIS is our country. We can talk about “back to Africa” but I have to guess that most of us don’t know where we would go if we did go back “home.” Where is “home:” Ghana? Nigeria? Kenya? I wish I knew but I don’t. Now, I’ve never met a white person that didn’t know…
“Black people built this country. Not like everyone else. More than everyone else. For free.”
I dislike this. I dislike that you had to write it. I dislike that we have to be the Jiminy Cricket of this Pinnochio assed country. I hate that when (not if) it goes down in a ball of flames we will be the closest to the fire because we are on the bottom.
I doubt the “healthy church” people would count as evangelicals to the sort of people Sarah is describing. I’ve known a few, and they’ll insist if you don’t sweat and bleed the Kool-Aid, you’re not even a Christian. Big-C Catholics definitely don’t count.
We (mostly my wife) have five homeschoolers and, as purely secular, have basically had to make up our own curiculum as we went along.
“Oh hi Homer. You were expecting a JoJo reference, but it’s just Dee-diddly-o me, Ned.”
Stupid Flanders.
As someone homeschooling a child, the amount of fundamentalist curriculums out there is truly disturbing, and some are insidious. Especially when it comes to government and American history. Constant vigilance is a must.
