Deathstroke, the Suicide Squad, and even Team 7 all have roots in Arrow currently, and Kord Industries hints provide an 'in' for Booster Good and a Blue Beetle setup for Ted.

I'd actually say for DC, it makes more sense now to stick with the WW Greek mythology to be 'closer' to Earth than how Asgard in Marvel takes on a very Kirby-like base. That gives more room for easy leakage of myths of old into the normal world, and could be a sort of dividing line between the developing DC media…
