How was Modest Mouse?! I was disappointed with their performance (years ago) but think it might have been venue. Should I see em again?!

I think the fun most people had in college was a lie. I had way more fun pre-college (in my twenties), when I could get drunk without feeling guilty about needing to study.
Two beers while cleaning, one glass of rose to pair with artichokes (which I guess, at this point, was my dinner?). Now drinking kombooch.
Had NO IDEA. Went to a random college, dropped out, worked 3 minimum wage jobs. Went to community college at around 23 (when I got a 9-5 that I could support myself on), transferred to University at 26, graduated at 28 and entered my present career.
THE GOOD PLACE IS AMAZING. It’s underrated just by virtue of not everyone having seen it.
Ahhh maybe I’ll give Algenist a shot (I am low on vitamin c, I just realized)! I was also thinking of getting vitamin C from the Ordinary and pairing it with my Algenist collagen serum. I don’t mind DE’s vitamin c serum (it’s what I have currently) but I also always pair it with my Algenist collagen serum—really the…
Agreed! Or Teflon skin. It seems like nearly every product they put out has a chemical exfoliant in it. CEO is pretty good, IMO, but more as an AHA, and only like 1-2 times per week. So that means you need (well, “need” haha) a 2nd vitamin c serum for when you don’t ALSO want an AHA. Also for some reason I thought AHA…
Thanks for the hot tip! I will look into this on. I am using their vegan collagen and I like it. It’s a nice complement to the retinoids and AHAs that I occasionally smear on my face.
Agreed on living proof! The in-shower styler helped my hair look nice while doing the bare minimum, and the dry shampoo is aight (I mean it’s good, but I have my favorites and it’s not one of them). Otherwise I think they are mostly just clever marketing.
Grrrrl (or you know, however you identify) I barely move from bed on the weekends, except to exercise.
Counterpoint, I am friends with a few. Two came to my wedding (one with his wife). It’s not that weird to say, “romantically we are not compatible, but you’re still a good person and I enjoy your friendship.”
I got a facial with dermal planing today! Ive been seeing my aesthetician pretty regularly (every 6 weeks) for about six months now and she was raving about how great my skin looked (not objective really, but I will take it!).
I have wondered about HungryRoot! But ultimately I am cheap when it comes to food, and have a spiralizer, so I’ve never pulled the trigger. Is it really expensive compared to prepping?
Good call! I have some tempeh sitting in my freezer after an inspiring episode of Food Stuff...but I lost my tempeh groove and hadn’t thought of a good use for it.
I made a sangria spritzer with a bottle of Shaw. Way better than just drinking cheap wine—and there’s fruit, so it’s healthy!
When I was a teen and creepy men online asked me for pictures, I’d send them one of the windowlicker (reference below. It was slightly less outdated circa 2001). At the time I thought it was funny, but in hindsight they probably thought that meant I was a catfisher or whatever (I don’t think that was a term back then…
This sounds like an excellent idea.
I have a follow up in a couple weeks about it! They’ve been tracking it for a few months now, but I had other things they wanted to treat first to see if my other symptoms were alleviated (the PCOS, then what turned out to be suuuuper low vitamin D, that they thought were contributing to my…
Mayyyybeeee. I had one more radiology appointment that I skipped in favor of just getting on birth control. I’ll raise it at my next check in! I think my hips look wider than usual too but who knows. Much like every other woman in America, I probably have body dymorphia (or so my husband tells me).
You can do it! I used Navicore, a nonprofit, for debt consolidation and while I had my gripes, they offered me a lot of resources in a time in my life when I needed help.
