Debt is a tool to be used. You can use it well or you can use it poorly. To refuse to use it when it is available isn’t really a great mantra.

High frequency traders are absolutely not retail investors. They pay huge sums of money to have servers at the stock exchange and can make tens of millions of dollars a year.

To each their own, but I really enjoy the times when I don’t have a car payment at all. Automobiles are tools that I’m required to own in order to get to and from work and around town.

To be fair, the compensation package that is at issue was signed in 2018 when things were significantly different in a number of ways. It was a poorly written deal anyway though.

I think what is more important than institutional investors and retail investors is high frequency traders. They may only be in the market for seconds to minutes, but collectively, they have the power to crash things so quickly.
