MsFjordstone, yer killin’ me!!!!!!

That garage scene would have gone down much differently had Paige not been there. Her presence imposed decency. It reminded me of that key scene in To Kill a Mockingbird, where the presence of a child stops the mob. Paige is not entirely innocent, but close enough, and Stan knows very little about her involvement.

I’m thinking about how much hinged on Philip’s decision to leave Henry behind. If he hadn’t, Paige almost certainly would have joined them, and the ultimate tragedy of Philip and Elizabeth being separated from their children—their main punishment by far—would not have come to pass.

No kidding. For that reason, the Emmys talk always annoys me. Who gives a shit?

Not to mention Gaad.

How do you ever get over leaving your children behind? That is the prospect they were facing in that last scene. That is a horrendous lifelong punishment, a hole you can never fill. (As a viewer, I take comfort knowing that the fall of the Soviet Union and the rise of the internet will change everything those

True, he wasn’t going to gun down all three of them. I was expecting Elizabeth to whip out a gun and kill him the entire time.

Yeah, I don’t get the “dick move” interpretation. I thought he was doing Stan a favor. Should the man spend his entire life being duped? (And yes, Renee is one of them. That little smile when she turns away from watching the FBI clearing the Jennings house.)

No good deed goes unpunished.

My sentiments exactly.

If he had admitted anything, the next question would be why he didn’t go to the police or the FBI years ago.

I thought it would be Renee, too.

1. “You’re a whore!”

Yes. I thought it would echo the moment when she burns the painting after all.

  • “Like those Vidal Sassoon ads?” They never did give Elizabeth Jennings a proper ’80s hairstyle, except when she’s in disguise.

That their incredibly important business was on Thanksgiving was a bridge too far. Stan wasn’t gonna swallow that.

The old lady ... That was horrible.

I was a little surprised Philip didn’t keep “Harvest’s” cyanide necklace for himself. I guess he could have removed the pill and we don’t know it (yet).

Something like that!

Wow, I can see all that. I can also see Martha and Gabriel making some sort of “home” for Paige in Russia.
