From what I am hearing it is a St. Louis Bread Co. (Panera to the rest of the world) thing and not a “St. Louis thing”. That makes sense. Yes I know it’s a big cliche that people from St.Louis always are telling people “Did you know Panera is actually St. Louis Bread Co.?” I stopped saying it about 10 years ago. The

I’d be willing to try it, and I’m very glad the Takeout approves of something from my hometown, but for the record:

I was born and raised in St. Louis.
I’m Jewish.
I’ve never seen bagels sliced that way until today.

If this is a thing back home, its something that is a recent development. I wonder where this guy went

You’re very welcome! Happy to help. It seems like they really give you a lot for $30, two tickets for just $30 plus everything else they throw in. If you combine this with the social media stuff, it could help get them interested in the Cardinals, if that is something you want to do. Hope things are going well for you

The Zoo is the greatest. The greatest.

I’m a St. Louis native/lifelong Cardinals fan, but I have lived in MN for the last ten years, and before that, 8 years in L.A. where I saw them play in Dodger Stadium twice. I keep up with the Cardinals through email from the team and social media. It was hard before the internet and cellphones, now its a bit easir.

I’

Good analysis and overview here. Nice work Jesse.

From the moment I saw her for the first time in CASINO ROYALE, I have been a fan of Eva Green....but not enough of one to see a lot of these movies above. She’s an underrated performer in many ways. Hopefully Burton or someone will find a role in a film (she got a lot

That first sentence was partially sarcastic. I lived in L.A. for 8 years and have had plenty of run-ins with celebrities. Indeed, many are not as patient and nice as Mr. Reeves seemed to be here.

Celebrities! They’re just like us.

Seriously, I liked this story. It makes me happy that Reeves is a cool guy and took this all in stride. That’s enough.

You’re right about the cat/mouse dynamic going all the way back to Krazy/Ignatz. However, I didn’t bring up gender, but SPECIES. Big difference.

Amen to all this. I hated seeing Liberty and Baylor both win in the First Round. Terrible places with terrible ideas and terrible people. To Hell with both them. Glad they both lost in the next round.

Best Line:

Homer:“I’m proud that you’re starting to hate things but take it slow.” That’s some classic Homer fatherly advice right there.

I also enjoyed the exchange between Bart and Lisa about “ruined childhoods”, a phrase I am truly sick of hearing in every way.

Making Milhouse the leader of BRA (and none of the

David Paymer is one of the great underrated character actors everyone should admire & respect. His work tonight in this episode was spot-on. Creepy, intelligent, funny, and actually helpful when he wasn’t confessing to gross violations of doctor/patient behavior, four murders & trying to kill Jake.

Holts loathing of

That is one GORGEOUS and appetizing plate of food right there. Wow.

I’ve had skate wing once, in a restaurant in L.A. about 13 years ago or so and liked it a lot, but thought it was something exotic only restaurants really had access too.

I always forget how much I enjoy that combination of butter, lemon juice and

Hey Vikram, you always do a good job in writing on the show, but maybe name the three actors by name in this review, as this episode was focused on them and they have been key players over the years of the show and deserve some recognition for their work in making these characters not just caricatures, but real. Yes,

“Might” count. It would be a stretch I think. More like a: “I figured out what you were doing. Here were the clues....” That seems more like a reveal to me. But maybe....when someone tells another person how they figured out they were hiding something or lying, and they’re a woman and the person telling it to them is

Great job Kevin! I’ve never had pork rillette and now I want to try it. Thanks!

This was the best episode of the season so far in regards to storyline, writing, and for the most part performance. Grodd Vs King Shark was fun, but this was a great episode of THE FLASH. I’m looking forward to the episode Panabaker directed down the road. It had real stakes and drama and moved things forward in the

Perfect. I don’t see how cooking something with so much beef flavor and aroma you could eat something other than beef that same night. Once the aroma and anticipation come in from what you’re cooking, you have to kind of go with that flow I think. Thanks!

Great work Kevin! I don’t know how you held out for a whole day though, even though you knew it would improve the flavor the next day. What did you eat that night instead?

It’s an absolutely charming movie. Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci are great together, they play off each other so well whenever they’re on screen in this and THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA. Need them paired together in some more movies.
