I mean, literally the first thing I asked was for someone to give info like this. This was my research. It just took this long for someone to say something other than "but if I have an iphone, I don't have a choice."

Finally some info that’s pertinent. The stuff about simply controlling a significant portion of the market being classified as a monopoly is the kind of explanation I’ve been asking for.
I guess the fundamental disconnect between my point of view and yours is that you consider “People On Ios” the entire market, in which case, apple does indeed have a monopoly over that space. I consider POIs to be a significant subset of a larger market, “People With Mobile devices.” Using this definition, apple…
I guess as many times as it takes to come up with an argument that makes sense. If I buy an iPhone, am I entitled to any software I want? At the end of the day, the product, which is fortnight, is available for free on just about every platform capable of playing a game. It just isn’t on the one place YOU want it.…
But the cable thing doesn’t really make sense. There are TWO “cable” companies. Apple and Android. And then, even if you make the argument that the iPhone is “where you live” and you shouldn’t have to “move,” there is satilite tv (pc) or cutting the cord and using roku or fire tv etc (playstation, xbox, switch.)
Except, ya know, android... right? No one is forced to be a part of the that “closed ecosystem.” People paid to be part of that ecosystem. If Walmart decides not to carry a product, is that a monopoly? They are a big ass company and the people who choose to shop at Walmart don’t have any other options as long as they…
Can someone explain how Epic can claim Apple has a monopoly when they can release their software on playstation, xbox, switch, pc and android? Am I misunderstanding the definition of a monopoly?
Android?
Xbox’s strategy this go-round is so weird. It feels like they’re doing everything they can to convince me not to buy an xsx. Don’t feel like upgrading? No problem! All the exclusives will be on last gen as well. Hell, you can just play them on pc! Also, Nintendo sure is swell!
Okay, serious question. Promise I’m not trolling. Can you explain to me what “made halo what it was?" I played 1, 2 and reach and I just never got the big deal. The story was serviceable, standard sci-fi. The protagonist was utterly forgettable. The art style (minus the ring itself) looked like it was designed by…
I dug the beta. My takeaway was that it was a bigger, deeper, AAA version of Ultimate Alliance. Yeah, I may lose interest in a couple months but I also platinumed Ghost of Tsushima in a week and no body's going to convince me that game wasn't worth it.
They had a great quarter? That's cool. Hey! You guys remember when we were all mad at blizzard for all that China stuff. Oh how we puffed our selves up and swore we'd boycott. That was fun. Guess it didn't take.
I keep seeing that this move is “bad for gamers.” As someone who plans on buying this for playstation, how is this bad for me? I can see how this is bad for Sony’s competitors and those that choose to support them. Or is this more of an "I don't like capitalism" thing? (Which I also get.)
Vet here. Nothing dehumanizing about the calling soldiers hitmen and meatshields.
As an OEF veteran I'm so glad there is someone out there standing between today's youth and (gasp) public service. Also, this is definitely the most important thing Congress could be doing right now... nothing else going on.
I think origins was probably the worst AC game. It ditched all the gameplay mechanics that made AC unique in order to transform the series into a shallow, generic action rpg. At least odyssey was a GOOD generic action rpg.
They also said the problem was "fixed" in a day 0 patch. I lost my 17 hour maxed out save because I let my friend start a save file. When I went back to load my file, I was treated to the game's opening. I never actually closed the game from when I first started it. I was having a really good time with the game, and…
FYI: this game has a pervasive glitch (at least on ps4) that can erase your save for seemingly any reason. Turned off the game? Save gone. Died and reloaded? Save gone. Loaded a different save file? Save. Gone. It is a very fun game but people need to be aware of this problem before they put a bunch of time in to it.
HEADS UP: there is an issue going around with the ps4 version where people are losing their saves. I had finished the story, hit max size, and collected every evolution. Lost it all.
It would be interesting to see a game like this set in Venezuela.
