It seemed to hit Gawker really hard when they discovered that there were other websites on the internet and some of those websites had more readers and/or better content. To this day, they seem to regard it as some sort of betrayal when any of “their” commenters admit that they peruse those “enemy” websites.

Every soldier that remained in that army,
