You could argue that, but proving intent in not using the right torque spec would be very hard. Because there is no cost savings in not using the correct spec, there was no sign of foul play... It’s still a legally dubious argument

This is why bloggers don’t argue legal cases. It was wrong, obviously. But it doesn’t fit the legal definition of unfair business practices, because it wasn’t intentional or deceptive. It was careless. Which is negligence, a completely different argument which the plaintiff could have argued. Her lawyers chose the

From a legal standpoint, their attorney made a poor decision to pursue MVSRA. This is gross negligence, but not deceptive business practice. A doctor or a restaurant would be held in gross negligence for the two examples you provided, but not for deception.

I'm a BMW fan and long time owner, but even here it's no competition. The 2 series Sedan, the A3 and the A class/CLA are dressed up economy cars. At least BMW attempts to mask it with AWD standard. Nothing will replace a RWD chassis

Maybe that's true. At least in the first generation, the X5 was based on the 5 series platform, but maybe that changed. Certainly on price, its closer to 5 series money

I think so. My sister has a 5speed Crosstrek, which she called a hatchback. After having her second kid she said she wished "they bought the wagon" when they sold it with a stick, referring to the Outback. So her husband bought a Sienna

I find crossovers are usually short on usable space. Two years ago I went skiing with three friends and all our gear in France. Our rental was an 3 series wagon and we had plenty of space. Last year we all went skiing in Colorado and used my friends X3 and we simply could not fit our gear. We ended up having to rent a

Tax it by the carbon emitted. Simple. Airlines will stop scheduling hourly flights between Chicago and NYC on 737s, and instead schedule a flight every 3 hours on a 787, which probably reduces the carbon per seat mile. They would also stop the asinine approach of selling connecting flights for less money, even though

First: hand-me-down MKIV Golf beater

I specifically asked for a new Rav4 for my rental this week, just to check it out. It was a limited Adventure model and it was a surprisingly upscale and comfortable car. It also one of the few compact CUVs that isn't abhorrent to look at.

That's truly vulgar. Most are boring, un intuitive, or cheap... This is... Offensive

My worst commute? 75 min uber from my place to O’Hare. 4 hour flight to SFO. Then a 90 minute drive to my client in bay area traffic. Every Monday and the reverse on Thursday.

Saw one parked in downtown Chicago the other day and it had quite a crowd gathered around it. To those who haven’t seen it online already, it looks pretty wild

Citroen eMehari has been in production for a year

Occasions where this would be perfect:

1) it’s not bulletproof. It shields wind and rain with thin plastic.

China and eBay. I had an old e39 BMW that wasn't in production for at least 16 years, but Amazon and eBay are flooded with replacement products. Sure, not as high quality as the BMW original part, but the car is worth pennies on the dollar from its original price. And occasionally mechanical bits and electronics are

This would work even better if there was a RHD Falcon. You can set this up and work from the spacious passengers seat.

I have a 5 series with fold flat rear seats. It’s an average sized car, but I can load that thing up with everything I could possibly need from Home Depot and not have to worry about the rain ruining it all. In a car that gets 30 MPG, is fun to drive and can park in the city easily.

The Gladiator comes standard with this in the soft top “Sunrider”. I rented one last week. I’m tall enough that I could throw the top back at a stoplight in a few seconds.
