The Gladiator is already selling a removable hardtop, so they couldn’t enforce that patent, based on prior art... and I’m sure Jeep has a patent for that device too. A little late to the game to be patent trolling

I say good for Ford! We should just stop trying to foist this “workhorse” image truck sell and accept the fact that they’re just fashion statements these days. At least then we will know Ford is in on the joke.
Nice, but i could never turn this on. Deliveries, doctors, work colleagues, Uber, etc... Robokiller has actually been working well. It’s only incorrectly blocked a real call once for me
When phones that lead with battery life or swappable batteries are on the market (and there have been many) they don't sell as well as other phones.

Idk, my agency has an open office, but most the time I work at clients who have traditional offices. Yes, they have more isolation, but my god are cubicle farms depressing! And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that closed form offices almost always exist in companies that are more isolated, standoffish and old…
Except this is EXACTLY how today's Jalops would talk. Especially if they had a 1970 Dodge Monaco
This is why I hate going to Dallas. I have a long term work project there every other year. And each time, the city seems to have added another ring of suburbs and highways, but no public transit improvements. It's an unsustainable model and is going to be unmaintainable when the highways are 20+ years old. You can…
Like Paris, I predict more cities will ban combustion delivery vehicles in the urban center in the next ten years, or exempt electric vehicles from congestion charges. This could be de rigeur in less than a decade
Your hyperbole is actually an underestimate. This car has full LED lighting. Replacing a broken LED “bulb” requires replacing the whole headlight unit, for well over $1000 each side if you get an independent shop. What the dealer would charge, I can’t imagine
Not sure but I bet they have brilliant actuaries and strategists crunching the numbers. This could mean a higher revenue through premiums, more sales (by making Teslas cheaper to insure - a serious barrier today) and higher brand loyalty by running the entire car ownership experience from purchase, insurance, charging…
Yeah you didn’t read that whole sentence buddy: “(or a negotiated rate which is less than retail, but still much above cost).”
I would say insurance is drastically less complicated than electric autonomous automaking or space travel. He figured those out. PayPal has also been doing transaction insurance for decades, so he’s not completely inexperienced.
This is actually a brilliant move. Insurers pay retail price for repairs, and the pass through retail cost of parts to fix a car (or a negotiated rate which is less than retail, but still much above cost). If the car is totaled, they pay the full market value in cash.
Predictable move. Unfortunately that concept looks like a concept Chrysler would release in 2003.
You can buy a new Accord Sport with 3 pedals for the same price. If we're talking about used cars, there's a boatload of ATS, Q50 and Giulias for under $25k
Because we're talking about it. It gets the conversation going around BMW and gives click bait mills content to work with. So here we are.
I see Toyota took a conservative approach with the new FJ Cruiser.
I have a friend who's a diplomat moving to Brazil. He said it's best to drive something cheap and inconspicuous or an armored car. Having a luxury car with no protection is asking for trouble
Good hot take on a hot shit op ed. I’m a “New Urban Leftist” and John Q Homeowner! Yes, we exist! Some millennials do own modest homes. A few years ago the city of Chicago turned a major 4 lane Avenue next to my home into a 2 lane street with promenade sidewalks.
