Since when is finding something at the grocery store a big secret? Haha.

Where in the country are you finding them? I’m in California. I found them last year, but I haven’t seen any this year.

Woo hoo! Made the short list! Thanks for the shout out!

Thanks! I had nearly given up on using a chimney starter because I was fed up with the newspaper ash flying around in the air. I thought there had to be a better way. That’s when I discovered the side burner method. It revolutionized my world!

I would add baking soda and candied ginger to the kit as well. Baking soda is great at neutralizing the stomach acid and the smell. Sprinkle it all over the seats and floor, and it won’t smell nearly as putrid.

My best tip only applies if you have both a charcoal grill and a gas grill with a side burner, so I apologize in advance that this eliminates much of the population. But here it is: use your gas side burner to get your charcoal chimney started. You’ll never have to mess with newspaper (too much ash) or paraffin

Certainly easier but not nearly as much fun.

Bacon may be tasty, but beef fat certainly doesn’t suck. If it did, ribeye wouldn’t be nearly as darn tasty.

With all due respect, what makes your suggestion a “better idea”? Why is that qualitatively or quantitatively better than me keeping the laptop at home for my guests?

Not sure what’s up with all the negativity in the comments. I thought it was a great idea!

Google Flights will keep track of ticket prices for you, and let you know when they fluctuate. It was a bit buggy for me as it didn’t always email me when prices dipped (and I set it up to do so), but the prices they showed were always accurate to what it was on the airline’s site.

With all due respect, I’d say that “Because it takes one click to download my entire photo archive if I choose to leave.” is not a great reason to choose a photo service. Google Photos is a pretty good product in its own right, so consumers have plenty of reasons to choose it.

How are nasties going to grow if the contents of the bag are pasteurized? You’ve killed all the microorganisms, so as long as the bag remains sealed, nothing new is getting in there.

Wrong! (But that’s OK because I just learned the best way myself last week, so I’ve been ignorant my whole life, too.)

The best changes I ever made were swapping out the showerheads, updating the bathroom fan switches with timers, hanging blackout curtains in the bedrooms, and hanging sun shades in the yard.

Good tip, but this is not nearly as good as Guided Access on iOS. (Not at all blaming you, just pointing out the contrast.) GA allows you to set up timers, areas of the screen that don’t respond to touch, and whether or not the hardware buttons are responsive.

To me, the pertinent question isn’t “Is there mold growing on/in the food?” but rather “Is the quantity and type of mold sufficient to make me sick?” I’ve eaten all kinds of food that had mold on it with no ill effects.

I tried the tjs umami sauce and I found the sourness off-putting. Yuck!

My understanding is that it’s threefold: increased use in smartphones, more ssds in laptops, and a rocky transition from 2D to 3D manufacturing.

Yeah, there’s a NAND shortage, so SSD prices have all gone up. Thanksgiving/Black Friday was pretty much the best time to buy.
