This has not been my experience since they changed their price protection policy. They’ll make you eat the return cost first.

Thanks for the tip. I just checked them out. You’re right about the unlimited bandwidth (which would be really important if I decided to run all my traffic through their VPN), unfortunately, the closest datacenter is in Quebec, Canada, and I’m in California. That’s not terrible, but my ping to that datacenter is over

How is the performance? Seems like this would be a reasonable thing to do. If it runs on something like a t2.nano, you’re paying about $5/month, split that with a few friends and family, and you come out ahead of paying for a service, and you have total control over the logs and access.

It’s funny that you mention armor because most of the paintings I saw of the event depicted him naked, or nearly so.

Learned something new today. I always thought he ran exactly 26.2 miles (hence the oddly specific distance) and then died. Didn’t realize it was much further than that.

Genuine question: I’ve never set up a VPN before, but is this something that could just be run out of AWS, Digital Ocean, and the like?

And the number of shady, steal-your-money, insecure, improperly configured ne’er-do-wells.

Maybe this is why the first guy to run a marathon succumbed and died.

Gifts for all your friends. They can go shopping while they play guitar 😉

I think it’s great that they’re giving a lifetime warranty on these things. Hopefully, the “lifetime” isn’t just for the first one.

Finally!

I have found credit cards helpful in getting my money back. It’s somewhat of a hassle, so I wouldn’t do it for small differences, but for big price jumps, it can really help.

The nice thing is that the free shipping for orders over $49 applies to the pre-discount price. That is, you order $50 worth of merchandise, but only pay $25, and you still get free shipping. Woot!

It totally is! But my current favorite is Simply Almonds, Cashews & Chocolate.

What is this “Blackberry” device you speak of...?

I second the vote for Spectacle.

Eh, nevermind, just looked at the ratings on Google Play. Glympse updated their app two weeks ago, and got flooded with one star ratings. Won’t be going back any time soon. Now I’m really looking forward to Google’s offering.

I used to use Glympse for this, but the latency was killing me. It would literally show me on the map minutes and miles behind where I actually was. I assume it may be better today as this was a few years ago. But I’m excited to try it out with Google.

This article is spot on. Just went on a trip last month, and we bought 99% of our snacks at TJs. I second the vote for the ginger chews. A few years ago, they had candied ginger that was amazing, but that’s been discontinued. The chews really help!
