I can’t see this working on cash back cards at all. As others have mentioned, most cards only give back a maximum of 2% cash back, so the net is zero.

Mathematically, you’re absolutely right. A refund is an interest free loan to the government. Owing taxes is an interest free loan *from* the government. But the problem is that if you take too big of a loan from the government, they penalize you.

Go back! Go back! This new format is so much harder to read.

I’m intrigued by the online version. Perhaps a future LH tutorial?

Lol. Then I need another set of commands to remember all my code words. “OK, Google, the code word for passport is ‘toe knife’.

Mine does, but it’s an estimate rather than a timer. Wash time changes depending on the weight of the clothes inside. Drying time depends on the humidity/moisture sensor inside. So it says 41 minutes to start, but could ultimately be shorter or longer.

If memory serves, it’s 10 AA or 12 AAA for $19.99

That’s too bad. Maybe it’s my “American Privilege” but I guess I expected that a feature reported on a primarily North American blog to a North American audience would work in America.

So excited! Just got the mobile update this morning!

I suppose that depends on your definition of “worthwhile” I just did a quick search and found a ton of interesting stuff available to download, mostly TV shows, not so much in the way of movies.

I’m on v. 7.2.4222-1.L on a Samsung Galaxy S7, and I do not see the “Shazam” feature. When I tap the search bar, I just get a list of my last few searches.

I am SO excited! I can’t believe it took this long! I figured Voice was going the way of Reader and Wave.

This is a pretty good list. I really like VirtualBox. I was just thinking about looking for a free video editor, so DaVinci is the perfect, timely recommendation. I tried LibreOffice several times back in the day, all the way back to the StarOffice days. But I could never get over the ugly UI. I know you said it had

Shhh... Don’t remind Google that we’re here.

I had an old oven where that drawer was the broiler. Right beneath the gas heating elements. We accidentally put some pans beneath there, and they got scorched. Thankfully the house didn’t burn down. But yeah, be careful what you put down there.

Funny how things like Amazon Prime have changed our perception of “instant” and “ASAP.” It didn’t use to be a big deal to wait a week or two for something to arrive in the mail. Now, if it takes 4 days, it’s the end of the world :-)

I agree that wasn’t very nice of them, but I still like the app, so I found it to be an acceptable forced solution. It would have been unacceptable if messenger sacked.

Guess I’m in the minority around these parts. I use messenger extensively on Android and I love it!

That’s a great lifehack! Reminds me of my final project in my high school computer science class. I made the CA drive come out as a cup holder.

This is true of almost all cash back cards. Take the cash back as cash, not for purchases, or you miss out on the 5% for *those* purchases.
