Far as I’m concerned, unless you’re one of these admittedly impressive people who can beat Dark Souls blindfolded at SL1 while using a DDR controller, there is no shame at all in the occasional bit of cheese in a FS game.

Truly you must be a wizard to know so much! And really, that’s all you need to know to make it through the game; kill bosses to unlock the path to kill the big boss to save the world. If you don’t know anything other than that you can get through the games just fine.

If you needed youtube to ‘kind of understand’ the story of any of the Dark Souls games then you must have done really poorly in school.

That even when white people borrow from their own Scandinavian and European cultures they are somehow incapable of building those settings with more than just aesthetics? Being told I’m incapable of using “any specific cultural touchstones or unique characteristics” of our own historical cultures? That this is a skill…

So people should only roleplay in settings that match their culture and characters of their own race. Got it. Cool, cool, cool, excellent.

This crap makes me wish D&D would go back to being something we all just kinda did in secret with our friends and the greater population shunned it.

That would have been the complaint instead.

Maybe they thought that dressing up in traditional attire of cultures that aren’t their own as white people would’ve been 10x worse.

No one is ‘so mad’, it’s just like 20 people on Twitter. I’ve seen just as many people be happy to be represented and feel seen by the campaign.
