In that case they could be trying to avoid upsetting their finicky  American audience.  Capital G Gamers have thrown some truly astounding shit fits about politics invading their video games in the past couple years, maybe they’re trying the slow boil approach to avoid looking like they have an agenda?

Is he? I’m doing Golden Deer right now, and by the time I was able to recruit him I was full up on healers. I just wanted to complete my collection because every time I envision the other home rooms, empty save the house leader and their closest friend it makes me giggle.  I’ll probably do Eagles next, so I’m looking

The other characters don’t really pair off, the MC is the only one who forms an S rank.  The A ranks are all more “we’re good friends who have ameliorated our glaring personality flaws by doing our best together.”

Is that even a guess at this point?  What annoys me is that they’ve managed to set an incredibly slow pace for “progress,” to the point where it’ll be five or six games before anything close to parity, assuming they keep to their current pace.

Nope, she’s bi. Well, she’ll marry a man and there’s nothing like Soleil (I think, the lesbian option from Fates) suggesting that it’s more of a platonic life partnership sort of arrangement.

Though the MC is the only one who gets S ranks, so if you play as a female MC there’s nothing to contradict that as head cannon.

Have you talked to Lorenz?  At this point I won’t let him so much as fight next to any of the girls for fear that he’ll be an ass at them in a support conversation I forget to ignore.

It’s probably because since Awakening they sell at least three times as many copies in America than they do in Japan.  My guess is they’ll keep moving towards inclusivity, but as slowly as they can get away with to avoid alienating their Japanese audience.

Does disarming a character still cause all the enemies to attack them, regardless of their ability to do damage?  If so you might want to mention that, it’s a good way to keep wounded units alive.

Community.  After the nadir that was the season four finale season five improved quickly, but remained shaky and definitely suffered from Donald Glover’s early exit.  By all rights seasons six should have been a disaster; it moved to the web and lost another lead when Yvette Nicole Brown moved on, but Kieth David and

I believe you mean "ale."

Not “seemed,” it absolutely was totally unnecessary.  The real question is whether he could have known that at the time.  If he couldn’t get in touch with his mom for whatever reason then yeah, absolutely heroic.  If he skipped the cell phone and went straight to scaling the building... still a good son, but a little

Did he try calling first?

A balcony.  It sort of looks like darkened glass set into cement, but it’s a series of balconies.

That seems likely, especially since he seems to have made sure to gas up every exit before lighting anything.  That’s not just personal, it suggests familiarity with the building.

Huh. I couldn't finish that one, mostly because it felt like eight stories that essentially take place in isolation. Plus it takes fucking FOREVER to level up and gain job abilities. I haven't played a proper old school RPG in years (I know Octopath is new, but it's an homage), but it's strange that I have a lower

Toon breeding was fun as a one off, but it can't feature in every game.

Ah. I’ve always been neutral on actual turn based, I just hate those hybrid abominations that force me to navigate menus while some monster is chewing my knees.

If you have a 3DS check out Awakenings, it’s an absolute blast.

Gentleman’s agreement, same reason the people stare like idiots while the monsters thrash and roar.

It would be nice if Nintendo put half the effort they’re plowing into the bottomless pit that is, was, and always will be motion controls into designing a controller that is half as comfortable to use as the ones that came with the Gamecube.
