Natural disasters and accidents happen. But shootings seem to be something we can, as a society, avoid. We’re all happy that these medical pros are looking out for each other. We’re sad that they have to do this.

It’s sad that the frequency of mass shootings has created this tradition among hospitals. No one is criticing the solidarity or camaraderie.
