I don’t even think the no-hitter intentional walk is that bad at all. Presumably, the pitcher has already gotten that batter out during the course of the game, so why not walk him now? But honestly, it if was me, I would probably give him an “unintentional intentional walk” where I throw so wildly, he has no chance of

OMG. That was brilliant.

Who has a better chance of winning an Oscar?

Not really. If you saw a white boy named “Langston” would you really do a double take? And, it is very possible that this child has a black father.

Oh please. You have written way too much on this thread to be saying that now.

I would also take the 162 game hitting streak. However, I am really questioning that such a player would make the HOF, unless the rest of his career is HOF worthy.

I am male ,and when I was younger, I toyed with the idea of joining the Navy. Yeah, “Join the Navy, see the world,” was appealing. But I only wanted to join for a 4 year hitch, just like my dad, just like Forrest Gump. I never thought for a second of having a 20 year career.

These “placement tests” might turn some men away from the military. As in, perhaps a young man wants to join the military in a support/technical/administrative role. Now, a lot of those billets will be filled with women, making his broad-shouldered, able-bodied male ass more fit for a combat role. So, no thanks.

I am a male non-veteran, but I am surprised by your reaction. The military is recognizing that many young women are reticent to think about a military career because of how such a career might accomodate her future family life. And yeah, young women are more likely to be concerned with this than young men. The

Whatever. I don’t really care.

“Tie not available.” Why would they use that dumbass 3 Stooges tie for the catalogue?

Yeah, honestly, I think that the hat store bargaining is more impressive than your hotel example. Hotel rooms don’t really have fixed rates, and there seemed to be a mistake on their end. Granted, the haberdasher’s credit card system was on the fritz as well...

“sexy” might not be the best word for them, but I think that the skirts look quite a bit better than slacks would. But I cannot really argue against this change.

Lol. I’m a restaurant biz veteran, (or is it vertebrate?), and at one restaurant early in my “career,” I was nicknamed the “Octopus” because my quick work made it seem like I had 8 hands. I loved it!

“You have met men that you didn’t want to be friends with, because they were...tedious? Or you had nothing in common with? That sounds like a Brenda situation. No one says you have to be friends with her or anyone if you aren’t feeling it. It is not a male/ female thing, is it?

FOB = Fresh Off The Boat. So, super fresh Chinese immigrants. This usually applies to Chinese immigrants, but other Asian communities have started using this term, I have even heard it as far away as the Armenian diaspora. And yeah, I am actually not OK with non-Asian people using this term, especially in the form of,

Hi Luna.noire,

Point taken. While I did not invent this phrase, I will never use it again. Thank you.

She pranced over to me whilst wiggling her fingers in the air in the manner of a butterfly. Yeah, men rarely approach women in such a manner.

“Get a fucking grip. Empty out your junk drawer full of micro-aggressions and get the fuck over yourself.”
