Media or her red headed step child Social Media?

That’d undoubtedly be Media.

Nah. This is a bad take.

“I feel like I am not doing a great job of capturing, in words, the dread that this produces in me. Across the room, one of my dogs is licking its asshole with intense fervor; it is making sounds like the stirring of a pot of macaroni and cheese.”

Yo, some people have different bladder sizes/function than other people and can’t hold it for all that long. Delays can fuck with that. Before you say it, too, it’s also really shitty to say those people shouldn’t fly — letting them pee while the airplane isn’t moving is a reasonable accommodation.

There are airlines I would usually boycott but savings are savings. It’ll take a hell of a lot more than $13 to get sodomized fly Spirit Airlines.

I think they know this too. As long as the blame can get spread around far enough nothing will get changed.

You must be new here. This has been typical travel protocol since Forced Sodomy Air merged with Southern Dome Skies.

Surely* you’ve already seen this, but the comments below Gizmodo’s coverage of this incident are similarly flabbergasting and demoralizing. To paraphrase many, “The corporation can do what it wants because its policies say it can” and “These are cops, so you have no legal protection. Comply or get your head smashed

As an aside, the people who frequently fly forced sodomy air say it really helps their regularity.

One important thing I think we should all practice doing is trying to steer away from “United Airlines did XYZ” and into “[named human] did XYZ.”

Having worked on the corporate world, their motivations should be observed and questioned ALL THE TIME. I don’t know where the he’ll they’ve been enshrined in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. I keep looking and can’t find it anywhere.

Rookie mistake. If you think Forced Sodomy Air is just about the sodomy, then you haven’t met the new Forced Sodomy Air.

Exactly. Overbooking, while seriously inconvenient, is at least *kinda* understandable. This was worse.

“Well, I don’t love the customer service of Forced Sodomy Air, but they are $13 cheaper than JetBlue, so I guess I’ll have to suck it up.”

I’m sure other people have written and theorized about this idea better than me, but I’ve come to the conclusion that Capitalism has basically become the official religion of this country. Making any argument against the actions or motives of a corporation will basically get you the same reaction as questioning the

I 100% agree. Everyone who posted shit about Jump When Told To Jump by the Authorities is already dead inside, and it makes me sad. There is no fight or spirit in these people, just the desire to get home to their TV.

I’d say that people might boycott United, but for some reason people are insane about saving as much money as possible on airfare that it won’t really matter. I don’t fly American Airlines as a rule, because I felt like I was being punished for something every time I had in the past, but most people look at two
