It's ok to gush on the C7, that's a legitimately good car. The gushing on the C4 and C5 is crony patriotism blinders, those cars were shit.
You do have to admit the corvette is an incredible package, and appeals to the American ethos of a blue collar hero. Its a very logical car, even more so than the Porsches it competes against. I personally think it deserves the credit it gets, and I'm a Canadian.
