Burners Baby Burners: Discussion Inferno

I think back to when I was in driver’s ed, and the teacher was discussing making it a law for all cars to have headlights on at all times. His argument/ example was to ask me, coming from a smaller town, how many billboards I noticed in the city. Of course, it was huge, but after living in the city for going on seven

I’m depressed with the reminder that the Caliber exists, and that some hard working people at SRT had the unenviable task of polishing this turd. They did their best with what they had, no question.

Design isn’t the issue. Awarding the contract, and the balance between gas- and electric-powered vehicles are.

The president can’t do that unilaterally. Generally, it’s a good thing that some positions aren’t subject to political changes immediately — though that does assume that the person in charge of the agency is qualified and not there as a bad-faith actor with the goal to destroy said agency.

Yeah there will some sticking here and there but it shouldn’t be that bad. And with cast iron it doesn’t tend to take years if you’re regularly using it.

Pre-season is an anti-rust thing, and a base coat to make quicker. It’s not a ‘ready to use’ option.

My buddy David had a Buick Regal Turbo, which was almost on par with the GNX in terms of performance. He let me drive it for literally a whole week one time.

The listing notes that this is actually the second time that the car was put up for sale on the platform, with the last time being in 2020. Back then it had just 200 miles on its odometer.

“If you don’t know why GNXs are awesome, you should.”

I would suggest he has other motives:

Once your carbon steel or cast iron is well seasoned cleaning can be as simple as spraying it with water. I use a soft brush to get off the occasional stuck bit, and even on a new pan it’s like a minute or two at worst.

If it’s just light stuff, I wash it in the sink like any other pan - water and soap do *not* harm a seasoned pan. Some folks use salt on the heavier stuff, but I found that a 4x4" piece of stainless chainmail works perfectly. Here’s a link to some:

I think it looks fantastic in person and has tremendous presence. It’s the only Lexus with a predator grille where the design actually works, and it’s a striking, beautiful car. The LC and the GR Corolla are the only two current Toyota products I could see myself driving (I have immense respect for their products but

How’s its street presence? I mean any Jalop that sees it on the road probably knows what they’re looking at but for everyone else when you’re out and about, is it stealthy? Is it just another Lexus in traffic? Can you leave it in a parking lot and reasonably believe people will respect it and not roll their shopping

In the spirit of Carvana’s insulting offer for my car, I will offer to buy the company for $10,000. The offer comes with a free bonus of spamming their inbox constantly asking if they want to sell for basically nothing.

Other than the obvious presence a super car has driving down the road, these things always catch my eye and they look stunning.

What Do You Want To Know About The 2022 Lexus LC 500?”

I once had one of these as a rental. It was actually a pleasant vehicle for city driving. Reasonably-sized to park, decent height for traffic. I’ve had a soft spot for them ever since. I wouldn’t buy one but it seemed like a decent car.

Ooh, good suggestions. As a big fan of Edge of Tomorrow I’m now rooting for Doug Liman.

This whole series of trials is an absolute shit show. The details are horrifying on both sides. What I hate the MOST are Depp fans turning court footage into GIFs and laughing at the whole thing.

lol. There’s a difference between seasoning and food residue stuck on there.
