Same exact thing happened to me in 2019 (they were brought back regionally) and honestly I don’t know that I’ll ever bother having one again after eating two.

To be fair, the Morningstar Farms Riblets were way better than the McRib, with a shockingly decent sauce and even an enjoyable texture. They were salt bombs, but they were actively worth picking up.

“Just fine” is what makes this particular product a limited-time-only item. It turns out you can get sick of these, especially if you eat two in a single sitting (look, I had a coupon that was about to expire and we were about to walk 13 miles, shut up!), and once the McRib goes away they can remember it more fondly…
