It’s advertising. It’s not saving lives.

you’re aware that the same man advocated mutilating the genitals of boys as well right? and that in 2016 it’s still common practice?

tl;dr a man born in 1850 has some thoughts that we in 2016 no longer agree with

Eh, he doesn’t all that different than many doctors during that era, especially when it came to mental health.

I still believe the Cavs will win it and I’m not ready to write off the Dubs, but it’s crazy that 3-4 games into the conference finals, Thunder/Raptors is truly on the table, in a season where Cavs vs Warriors/Spurs seemed like a formality.

Even if they choke away the rest of the series, I’ve been impressed by this Raptors team. I hate their personnel and I just find that team so hard to watch, but they’ve shown so much heart throughout the playoffs. It’s ugly, but it works.

No, DeMarre Carroll and Bismack Biyombo will not combine to stifle LeBron James and deliver the dim, low-wattage Raptors to the promised land. - Albert Burneko

Now playing

I believe that Kevin Love sat the 4th quarter as he was trying to reacquire his soul which was stolen by Biyombo on this block.

How does lebron only take 2 more shots than love even though he played 15 more mins than him? Why did Irving lead the team in shots attempted?? Would Kobe or Jordan ever let that happened?? Lebron not a alpha leader. You live and die through them, and he inbounded on the last play, no superstar does that other than

wow God jokes didn’t see that coming...good job on the originality!! I’m sure most of you wouldn’t even think of stooping to such pitfall means to get by as prayer. Especially when facing the scariest thing you can imagine.

But for what it’s worth, good for James. Seems to be a genuinely good guy. Doozy of a player, too. Always amazed that Pitt reliably sends out 1-3ish-round draft picks but remains perhaps the most mediocre team in CFB. Shows how important a QB is.

I don’t like this because it reminds me that Tony Gwynn is dead.

This is a very tenuous argument you’re making. Does everyone who’s lost someone to tobacco use get to sue the companies? What about alcohol abuse? Car accidents? What if someone dies in a DUI-related car accident? Can I sue Anheuser AND GM?

Rightly or wrongly, the initial reaction I get from this is analogous to the differences between American and European landmarks; railings and warning signs abound near dangerous precipices in the US so as to skirt liability. In Europe (especially central/southern), “What was he doing so close to that dangerous

Former Pitt player Steven Adams sacrifices his right testicle to appease the gods and rid James Conner of cancer.

Look, his death was tragic and the tobacco companies deployed a heartless, immoral policy of manipulating users. But to a degree of being legally or civilly responsible? Adults make choices. These choices can be harmful. But they’re our choices.

James Conner is an absolute beast of a player, a great teammate and seemingly all around good dude. Glad to hear this.

These comments are 10000000x worse than what Deadspin comments are usually like. And Deadspin comments are usually really bad, so this is a new low.
