I think there were shots that were much lower than 12. 12 is on twos, which is pretty common for most animation. I swear there were shots that were like, on the fours, which is like 3fps.

> “Little Homo?” Just bleep out what she really should have said.

OMG.

It may be finely observed, but IMO it’s not funny, and there’s a difference. Sketch humor should parody, or exaggerate, or innovate. Just throwing together a bunch of TikTok clips that are barely even any different from the actual platform (which is a mix of some real innovative content/humor, and a lot of nonsense

This was not a good episode. The cold opening was a mess. Zoe Kravitz is great, but in this she kind of just faded into the cast in a forgettable way. There were minor timing/technical issues that took the air out of the tires of at least three sketches, especially the videotape one, and the voice modulation on Kyle’s

Great episode. Except for the You Can’t Do This On Television bit, that failed in almost every conceivable way. And the family reunion bit didn’t really land. But, regardless, Mulaney really brings some specific and focused random energy to the writer’s room. Best of luck at your new digs Perkins!

I’m sorry, but I found this episode mostly awful. It just got off on the wrong foot - lots of little technical mishaps, characters having trouble reading cue cards, mics not turning on in time, a couple late camera angles, sounds of sets being rebuilt in the background. Kate returning as Fauci was a giant meh and even

Walking in Staten had some of the most egregious autotune I’ve heard on TV in quite a while. If Pete Davidson can’t sing, maybe they should have gone with a different idea or had someone else sing it.

They are all still too yelly. It’s a cartoon, yes -- that doesn’t mean everyone needs to be constantly screaming. It’s a good enough show, but it’s hard to not be irritated to some degree by almost every character in it.

I think this segment is kind of awful, wow. Tipsy enough to have less filtered and more ‘real’ conversations is one thing. So drunk you need an IV is another. Arguably, that’s alcohol abuse.

She did do a pretty big scream.

I’ve seen maybe two episodes of the show, but this one was free on YouTube so I gave it a shot.

“Elon Musk hosted Saturday Night Live... nobody... is laughing”
- The A.V. Club

What a poor episode. I enjoyed the filmed bit at the end, and maybe one joke in Weekend Update, but everything felt off and was timed badly and there were a bunch of little production issues.

Okay, now that all the answers are seemingly out there, what was up with the “stop it. stop it. stop it.” scene from the first episode? Was that townsfolk momentarily breaking free of the Hex somehow? Was Wanda just imagining that happening? Was that Agatha All Along(TM) throwing in a little self-awareness just to get

Great episode. I was unfortunately spoiled as to the reveal, but watching the episode and then having that amazing song play saved it for me.

I think this was the first SNL in a while where there were a few different sketches I really liked (the dating game show, the weed gummies, the wine-drinking moms). It’s a bit of a shame about the technical problems this season, but it’s got to be a bit tougher with COVID and thus less (and more spaced out) staff. The

> I saw some people online asking why Maya Rudolph just doesn’t have her own sketch show at this point

Perkins, how DARE you forget Maya and Marty! It was just 4 and a half years ago! Of course, it didn’t get anything more than one short season... but still. I enjoyed it.

Darryl Hammond portraying Trump was kinder to Trump than Jim Carrey is portraying Biden. I think there’s something in that.

I’ve watched two episodes now. It’s not good. Everything feels disjointed, due to some really aggravating YouTube-style editing. So many cuts and unnecessary digital zooms. Usually the humor doesn’t have any time to breathe. The window dressing of remote work was perhaps necessary given the current situation of

That ending made me angry. Like, three minutes devoted to a song about how good friends Cletus and Homer are. It wasn’t funny and it dragged on for that long at the expense of... maybe making the plot a little better? I’m baffled they apparently needed to fill time at the end in that way... even 30 seconds would have
