Watched the first episode. That Non-binary/PC joke was so stupid. I loved it.

Look at long they invest in the animation budget again, I’ll be happy.
I liked the stories and characters in Season 3, but the frame rate was like 12.
“The sketch felt like an obligation as if the writers felt like they had to do something with the cultural phenomenon of Avatar. It lacked focus, direction, or commentary. It felt overlong, even though it was relatively short. It was a lazy sketch that relied more on costuming and sets than good writing”
I also like that, not only did Maarva get the grand speech that kicked off the fighting, Brasso used her brick to bludgeon a bunch of Imperials too. She got revenge from beyond the grave TWICE.
Their takes on Fetterman and the stroke were insulting and dangerous- it wasn’t that bad and people recover functionally from strokes at this level all the time. It’s better people are honest about recovery than shamed and encouraged to hide medical conditions (cough cough Trump). The horror movie was... ok but a lot…
Can we also finally admit that Kate McKinnon, although very talented, might be a tad overrated versus a criminally underrated and far more versatile Cecily Strong? Kate’s Fauci and Giuliani impressions sound exactly alike, with neither sounding anything remotely like the men she’s supposedly imitating. And on that…
Does Knuckles chuckle though?
I think you both have valid points.
Perkins.
(Yeah, I’m not the guy who used to do this, but figured you deserved one for the road. Catch you on the flipside.)
In fairness it’s really been mostly irrelevant since Kinja, but this will be the final nail in the coffin. It really is a shame.
I thought the the whole response was summed up by the cast not wearing masks the entire episode but wearing them during the closing credits.
Bring back Spoiler Space, NOW.
That seems to have been a regular thing for quite a while now, and honestly it has the opposite effect on me. The audience just goes wild with applause whenever certain people appear for the first time (Kate, Aidy and Pete mainly), before they’ve even done anything. And if a celebrity makes a cameo, they blow the roof…
Because The Orville understands the value of pacing, even with humor.
I would say that’s not implying he’s bi, it’s coming right out and saying it.
“It has everything. Lasers, artificial birthing chambers, tiny little cherubs with huge heads that look like Uatu The Watcher, and a Galactus cloud that look like a twerking Jack Black if you squint hard enough.”
I know it’s silly but I’m bi and hearing Loki say ‘a bit of both’ was pretty thrilling for me. But yeah other than that the episode didn’t do much for me. Still on board with the show though.
maybe it was the fact that i was watching a premiere uncensored for the first time, but yeah the cursing felt like it was...a little excessive this time around.
“I dont know why this should matter, but we’re white”
Yeah, my hope is pretty much gone after that. It was the perfect opportunity to wink at Agents of Shield and they did not. Just a “well, sort of anyway” from Mobius would have cliched it without really confusing anyone who didn’t get what he was talking about.
