Before I sold my XJ, I had went down the whole ARB bull bar internet rabbit hole. Theirs is the best looking on an XJ, IMO.

The term bull bar was coined by ARB to basically mean “way tougher than a brush gaurd”. I think for you, “bull bar” is just a stubby short brush guard. I can see that, but if we’re being technical.....

Brush guard:

A bull bar mounts to the frame, and is rock solid. A brush guard is mostly cosmetic, but is better than no protection.
