I avoid anything farther out than a 2nd-ring suburb when I bike. Thankfully my home base in Minneapolis is pretty top-notch when it comes to bike trails and I can do 20-30 mile rides without having to leave a bike trail, but the proportion of people who are like this asshat is infinitely higher when you get farther…

1. Dick move to make me look for information somewhere else because you’re playing a video game.
Cool, let's just let everyone decide for themselves how property that doesn't belong to them should be used. What could possibly go wrong?
Fixed your headline.
We’re going to ameliorate this as best we can through the application of monies. Battery backup on the house, plus solar, should be able to at least keep the i3 limping along, but we won’t be able to charge both.
Good ol’ Pete Wilson and his electricity deregulation bill...the gift that keeps on taking.
The only way this could work, to protect the poor at least, would be “cars for clunkers”; with the govt making a dirt cheap, basic electric car (no radio, manual windows, manual locks, one color -hopefully yellow or electric neon pink-, etc) and just flat out giving to anyone who can nurse their clunker onto a…
Lol dude is this your first year as a political science major? Your writing is more cringe than some of the freshman papers I’m forced to read.
I just cancelled my WoW subscription, not because of “free speech”, but because I don’t want to support the company after this decision.
lazy phlebotomists?
Trump fans love his constant grievances and profound emotional immaturity because they see themselves in him.
Yes sometimes when I pay for coffee they thank me profusely and even go so far as to call me “Sir”. So that totally means baristas, and all cashiers really, have the utmost respect and admiration for helping them out by buying stuff. You should see how kind wait staff is to me always checking up me and asking if I…
Geriatric vampires?
Whole house fans are rarely installed any more, but can make a huge difference in summer energy usage. I live in a brick house and wish I had a whole house fan. Even if it drops below 70 at night, the energy stored in the bricks from the sun beating on them all day cooks our house like an oven! Even with window fans…
I live near Chicago and the OP lives in Jersey they can’t be far off. A better comparison would be to compare usage (kWh). My supplier sends me a usage summary each month compared to neighbors so it’s not rocket science, it’s math.
Fully agreed on the air movement. I have central air in my house except for in my bedroom where there is no vent for some godforsaken reason, but at least there’s a ceiling fan, and that keeps me from basically pitching a tent in my backyard all summer.
One important factor not included is humidity and air movement. 80F at 40%RH is very different from 80F at 70%RH. Secondly, a room with no air movement feels much warmer than a room with fan at the same temperature.
