Actually any of the Civics from ‘76 on we're great little cars. My 82 DX hatch was the first new car my wife and I bought together, and we both still miss it. Two of our friends had Chevettes, and it was rubbish compared to our Civic.

The only point of having this car is that V-12 engine. If the solution truly was to stuff an American V-8 in it I would save myself tons of cash and effort and buy a Fox body Mustang....
Thank you so much for attaching that article on the FA20 motor. This engine is a marvel of efficiency, power, and fuel economy. The crap it gets from the naysayers is not deserved.
The wealthiest person in town drives a beat to shit old Accord and dresses almost like a homeless person. The truly wealthy don't want anyone to know how wealthy they are. You aren't going to impress them driving an older luxury car that you can't afford to service.
I vote team Balaban for two reasons(besides the fact that he is right):
Umm, oil is subsidized more than anything on the planet.
It's worse than that. I see PT Cruiser.
There's a guy in town that put these damn things on a VW Passat wagon. Instant white trash aesthetic if you ask me. I know Maserati has had a checkered past, but they have become kind of a joke lately.
No question it will take some time. I am planning to give it to my son-in-law someday, maybe it might be worth something for him in the future.
Internet greatness sometimes carries a price!
Even 15 year old models like the 550 Maranello are already climbing. Sadly, nothing proves the theory of needing a lot of money to make a lot of money like a Ferrari.
LOL! That is truly funky.
No doubt, but I would also include the Cayman R in there as well. Porschephiles love any model with an R in it.
That is why I will be hanging on to mine. That and it is still great fun.
Actually the Focus RS might change people's minds about the M2; 15k cheaper, AWD and more fun.
Agreed, I really like the overall lineup of Jaguar models right now. I think they understand how to go forward while still maintaining the legacy of the brand. Having said that they face some very tough competition from Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, and yes, even Chevrolet and Cadillac. It is a good time to be a car…
Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
I took mine on a road trip this summer with my road bike and a bunch of gear crammed in the back of it for a weekend get away. Worked just fine.
I am not debating the quality of these cars. I thought at one time this was the car for me, but I don’t feel that way anymore. For anybody else that connects to this car I get it. But I am not going to back away from the fact that many people bought/buy this car not so much for what it does but rather what it conveys…
It’s funny, when I was younger I thought these cars were the shit. My sister bought one, I think, just to make me jealous while I was saddled with children instead of money for a cool car. Then I drove a friends R129, and was not impressed. A great freeway cruiser, but nowhere as engaging as any Porsche. I may be…
