At least he now has enough money to buy the Vice Presidential ticket from his buddy Donald Trump.

You should also let owners know that Carlos Lago sold his 240"SS”, and is now trying to find a stock, unmolested 240sx instead. Which is difficult because nearly all of them have been stanced and engine swapped.

They don't exist because of women. But women happen to drive a lot of them. My comment was mostly a humorous observation, or an attempt. Women also drive a lot of minivans.

There are ways to get more power out of this engine reliably. Because of a higher compression ratio and redline than most turbocharged cars, the boost needs to be kept on the low side, and heat management is a real issue. Supercharging seems to be a better fit for this engine than turbocharging. The Edelbrock E-Force

Be patient. They new Impreza hatch looks awesome, if it goes into production as shown. There will be a hatch WRX version of it. They won't make that mistake again.

You can find an exhaust that does both. Lots of options, listen to some examples on You Tube

I don't know why you would feel the need to explain that either. The GTI is a great enthusiast car and a great value, and always has been.

I think there will be a resumption of some hatch versions from both Subaru and Honda worth having within a year.

And I would argue that a minivan would do a better job than either. But when they are small either will work just fine.

I appreciate and sympathize with your effort to help people “understand” this car. I have long since given up, since it seems to be a lightening rod for every possible opinion from it being the savior of all enthusiast cars to ignorance, indifference, and outright hatred. What I find amusing is that you would think

One of my best friends had a 76 Civic hatchback in college, and driving it was a revelation. I liked it so much I bought one new in 1982 after I graduated. All of these smaller Hondas were my favorites.

I don’t know if this “small fingered vulgarian” has small fingers or anything else, but he truly has the “vulgarian” part down perfectly.

Pretty sure I didn't think it would, and said as much. Wish I had been wrong though.

If that happens, I will have to give credit to Cadillac for bringing them into modern day technology as far as the V-8 goes.

I was the same age as you when I bought my first new car, a Honda Civic. What was so painful about the new car for you?

Unless you actually know something the rest of us don't, I don't see a new V-8 engine platform from GM, ever. They will keep extracting more power via forced induction, etc, but that pushrod engine isn't going anywhere.

The real question is whether it will grenade it's engine as fast as a Z06?

Engineer.

True, some of us are peasants, in that this car is probably unattainable. You make it sound like you own one, or could.

I think it sucks, but they were close.
